Got a Fn2 finally, is a write off and needs panels changed, thanks for the video, cleared up the confusion I had with whether the 3drs had different panels to 5drs
Great video. Thanks. I've got a 1.8 Civic 8th gen with loads of stone chips. I have used Chipex but you can see where chips where at certain angles, I'm hoping it'll look better after polishing. If not, you've inspired me to swap the bonnet via a breakers, cheers 👍. N.B.If you use Chipex, paint dries really fast, you need to use the blending solution after about a minute, not much longer, otherwise it looks awful.

Colour match isn't the best fella, but hopefully a good MOP will bring the "new" parts closer to the rest of it. Lacquer peel is a bitch - once it starts to lift, you have to sand it right back as its due to badly applied lacquer when its been painted in the past. With all that paint that needs doing, you might as well do the whole side - door, wing, the lot. Good, informative video again - cheers!

Mate! Your coolant MUST be the blue Honda coolant.... I'm talking from experience, please please please swap it before it causes corrosion and damage!

Quick question.. does the fn2 have a reservoir for the coolant to fill? Or is it just the radiator that you fill up? Love your videos mate. Keep it going 👍🏼

Just to confirm, the Honda civic is a standard civic which can replace an Fn2 Type R body panel?
Can a front bumper and wheel arch Civic SI fit an Fn2? Thanks
Some are yes. I think the bumper can be changed but I feel like the arch trim is slightly thicker on a type R than standard civics. I could be wrong.

Hi bud I have recently bought a civic fn2 ctdi 2.2 type S really nice clean condition 08 I’d like to change the front light bar style to a type r style mesh grill is this poss and if so how difficult ? Advice welcomed

Nice one mate. If you look far ba k in my videos, I change my type R grill for a mugen one. Maybe that can show you a bit about how they're fitted.

Not in the diesel mate. They take a good wiggle to get out of the type R but that's all I can suggest.
Hi mate, i have a 2010 1.8 mk8 5 door, i want to put type R bumpers and skirts on, is this possible? Are they a straight fit?
Hi mate it is possible yes but from what I hear, there's a slight gap between the side skirt and the car when fitted as they're a bit wider than the standard skirts and fit a bit differently. Other then that it should be fine.

how did you manage to get your paint all messed like that?
Over its lifetime before me, the paint hasn't been looked after and sealed from the eloments. All reds go like this without propper care.

@Victor Jones the fact you think that anyone who modifies or takes care of their car's asthetics thinks primary about the resale or insurance price is ludicrous in itself. You could accidentally drown in a bath, doesn't stop you from getting in one does it for your own leasure? We look after our cars because we want to and it makes us happy. That's literally it. I will keep this car as long as it lasts with no regards to resale value whatsoever. Oh and just to correct you, every single thing I've put into this car money wise has been declared with my insurance. From the exhaust system to the stickers. So all parts will be accounted for incase of a crash. Enjoy not caring about your car and leave me to enjoy mine.
@Victor Jones ahh yes sorry for jumping down your throat. I don't see a car as a business opportunity. I see it as a creative outlet where the joy of it is more important to me then how much I can make out of it. I get paid in satisfaction and good mental health from tinkering with my car and there's just all it needs to be for me. If something comes from that then fair enough but it's not my priority.
