Can you do a video pointing out all of your corals? I would love to have angels in a reef tank like you have. My dream is asfur, goldflake, blue face and regal. Thanks
Generally copper is the only thing that kills ich i have had but not a good coral and live rock option. Well technically Ozone can if direct exposer. The very small micron filter could catch them, UV with the flow regulated generally pretty slowly Pentair gives specs for this. This would damage reproductive cycle etc. For the most part its the tang and Foxface without scales that will have issues. I only have a 25w UV but with proper flow my Mimic tang sometimes gets it my other tangs etc are more imune to it over time.
Yeah, past 4 years I've been doing nothing just like u when I get ich cuz I've tried tons of ich meds on the market and they don't work for me anymore , don't no why. Trying to catch fish without taking entire scape apart is nonsense and a pain in the ass so I just leave them. I do a fish dip like frags 3 or 4 times whenever I get a new fish cuz I don't have patience or room for QT tank but sometimes ich still gets though cuz it's present in my tank. I no u supposed to go fishless for 3 months but I can't catch fish. I just let fish die off when ich festers up and takes out the weeker ones and the ones that built up a strong immune system are the survivors and it works out for my tank and I don't loose too many. I have an auto feeder that goes off 3 times a day with pellets while I'm @ work then I feed frozen and nori in evening when I get home, so my fish are well fed and I think that helps build up immune system but I also no ich will always be in thank if I never go fishless.
It’s just one of those things now, no point even stressing. If it gets to a point where I can net catch a fish I’ll give it a go at saving it or it’s just to late. People talk about quarantining fish I get that but then I recon those same people don’t quarantine their snails and corals for weeks on end just in case the ich attached itself to the snail of the coral skeleton or frag plug.
@madshepsreef282 yeah I agree and as weird as it may sound and I no ppl won't believe me but 1 of my 2 cleaner shrimp I noticed a week ago has a few white spots on it. I had to pull out a magnifne glass to look and make sure I wasn't dreaming lol. I don't think ich can get through shell and when shrimp sheds it's shell it'll be fine.

If we just do what we can to try and manage the ich and make the fish as comfortable as we can that’s a win

Any luck with asfur angels in your tank?
I’ve never kept one of those angel but it does look really pretty
