I bought my 4 link from no limit engineering, 1300 bucks comes with ridetech coilovers, have to modify the brackets slightly to work with a 8.8 but for the price and what you get it is hard to beat. Out cast auto works which makes a lot of stuff for swapping The CV front is also coming out with a four link that looks pretty cool
i just gived my buddy full suspension kit for a pro off road set up with 3 feet travel shocks i got it for free off a rig that got rolled hard but the suspension was just fine but frame was broke in every place they wielded to the frame that is what made the guy wreck never wield to a frame only bolt to it and make sure u but a frame roll bar to keep the frame from rolling by the motor i live right next to a blm baja trails and mx riding we do lots of testing so far the frame breaks every time were people wield it and i have got a lot of suspensions from pro shop builds because the wielded the frame and the customer is sick of wielding all the time just to fix it then they just don;t want it no more and the best frame i have use is 1/2 ton chevy it seems to flex the most but u have to build the suspension to flex with the frame and it will do the best but the cost just goes up ford frame tend to break right behind the cab so u have to put a plate there but i do it to all rigs mini truck frames are a joke made with cheap metal tend to crack a lot and in the back if straight axle when cutting the frame for more travel make sure u build it super tough put twice as much that u think is good give it lots of supports but even building it right it will still break over time if u run them like we do very hard
Yes everything is getting coated. And I’ll keep the motor I have cause I can’t afford a stroker motor yet. But after the chassis is done that’s what I’ll be looking for.
So those talk about the body line on the trucks. Bump sides are 67-72 because down the center of the truck on the side there’s a “bump” 73-79 trucks are dentsides because that body line goes inward. Slicksides are 61-66 because of the slick line that goes down the side
I had a 64 Galaxie as my first car. It is crappy on corners, that is very, very true. It will plow like a farm tractor. Mine had manual steering...which helped. P/S back then had absolutely no feel. Even the Chryslers in the 70s were the same.
@@Thecraig909 anything's possible with a grinder and a welder and the know-how my truck is built completely out of trash and scrap metal I didn't spend any money in my truck and I built it when I was homeless I would have a place to live
I have been watching your progress and so far you are doing pretty good. Don't settle for an OK job! If you have to make corrections or find a better solution, that is the learning process. Take your time, do your research and don't rush the process. Pay no attention to the nay sayers and haters, they are showing their ignorance! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the Mustang and Galaxie. I started working on cars when I was 15 and bought a 1963 Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 for $350.00. That was back in 1972. I prefer Sleepers and Muscle cars but I have also built/restored a 1958 F-100 and a 1969 F-250.
Could you find out what kind of wheels are on your buddy’s Chevy? Also the size of the wheels and tires would be a big help! Looks really slick. Thanks!
I understand why you're doing a 4-link and you're too far into it to change now but it may not be the best for autocrossing and Street use. You can get the same adjustability with a 3 link but have much better cornering Behavior and the street manners are much better . I have built a few dual-purpose Street / track cars and the 3 link works much better. 4 Link is great for drag racing.
I still call shenanigans on that giveaway. A guy that runs a f100 pod cast does a giveaway and the biggest influencer on RUclips that does f100 stuff (and was on the podcast) enters and wins and everyone gets more exposure? yeahhhhh ok... I dont think you had anything to do with it but that shit was rigged as fuck haha
Dude!!!! That’s one hell of a view I could sit there and look at that for hours
It’s so sick!

Hey Craig that 4 link is a life saver and you should panit the 4 link arms white to match your truck

awesome build, i wish i had all that chasis set up in my 79
Glad to see work getting done on your chassis.
Thank you!
Great video man!

Yea I saw that! If I didn’t have this that’s what I would be doing for sure
Sick dude! Lovin the series, keep it up
Thank you!
MORE CROWN VICK CHASSIS STUFF YAY!!
This build is gonna be BOMB!!!
I sure hope so!
New subscriber. Great videos. I appreciate your ingenuity and ability to convey your thoughts and actions.
Thank you!
Awesome 😎 video that truck is going to look better when you finish with it

Great video.. Great views!!
Will you use your current engine for the autocross set up? Also, do you plan on painting or powercoating the suspension pieces and frame?
Yes everything is getting coated. And I’ll keep the motor I have cause I can’t afford a stroker motor yet. But after the chassis is done that’s what I’ll be looking for.
Cool!
Road to 50K WOOOOOO!!!!!
The handling of the truck will be closer to a Benz than a 60s Ford p/u. I am looking forward to it.
That’s the plan!
So glad you are working on this! Can't wait to see it done, any plans for your old frame after the swap?...drag truck? Lol
I’ll probably do a long to short bed conversion and make some money with it
Hey Craig what are you going to do for 50k subs?
Hi where did you order your 4 link I need to ordered tnx. I appreciate the help
Nice video's! For the new people, can you explain the difference between the term Bump, dent and straight side?
So those talk about the body line on the trucks. Bump sides are 67-72 because down the center of the truck on the side there’s a “bump” 73-79 trucks are dentsides because that body line goes inward. Slicksides are 61-66 because of the slick line that goes down the side
You should use crown Vic stuff in galaxy

Wonder if that would work

I thought you were more popular like 300 k subs. Keep going and u will get there.
And he’s a loser why?
I hope one day!
Joshua Cripps no-one said he was a loser
Andrew Moran - Pretty sure at the time of me posting that comment there was a guy trolling and called him a loser, but okay
I bought from outcast a lot of brackets now follow your line thks

I’m on the same page as you! Thanks a ton. I’m not planning on doing this twice. So I’m not cutting corners. Thanks again David.
Could you find out what kind of wheels are on your buddy’s Chevy? Also the size of the wheels and tires would be a big help! Looks really slick. Thanks!
They’re basset racing wheels. It’s an 15x8 in the front and a 15x10 rear with a 295/50R/15 and 265 front
Thanks Craig! I appreciate ya taking the time to get that info. Always enjoy the videos!
Do you have any videos on the other truck in that shop ?
Not yet. It’s done now so I’ll make a video with it
If I was you I'd save and save up for a crown vic cop motor I heard they haul
Are you north of victorville
1:28 either your truck is really fast or the mph gauge is broken
John Travolta wow!!!! Lol
It’s fast as frick man. Jk it’s about 20 off
So is it going to have a crown Vic’s 4.6 motor!!!????? Aka the motor I have
No. I’ll keep the carbureted sbf I have now. Personally not a fan of the 4.6 in older vehicles
What's the scoop on the inline 6 in the background???
It’s a boat anchor out of the Chevy that was ls swapped next to my chassis
Ohhh, I was thinking it might be out of your truck. I'm running a 300 boat anchor in mine.
Craig, your maturity curve is like 19 year old goin on 30. You go young man. Enjoying the vids...
Haha im am old man in my young age. Thank you!
@@Thecraig909 Go with it, it'll make you money, yay! And you get to do it naturally, along with your great work ethic...
Are you doing a pan hard bar?
7:35-7:40 he did mention it.
Yea I am
You should turbo your truck for 50k subs 😂😂
Down
Odd thing to comment on in the context of the video, but I really hope that oil pressure gauge is broken or something lol.
Haha it cruises at 30lbs which is fine for a stock engine. Speedo is way off
Are u painting everything
On the chassis yes. Truck nah
I would keep the truck like it is I was talking about the Chassi lol are u going to make it to have air bags Suspension
Why doesn't he have 4 links on his website?? Yet that what u won?
He’s just starting. Should be up in the future
Put a 460 in it
Too heavy
No American flag headliner???
Was filmed as I was making the new one

I got the kit for free in a giveaway. So I’m curious to see how it will do. Will certainly do better than leaf spring still
@@Thecraig909 cant beat free🖒🖒
No head liner must have filmed a while back
Good eye
