The songs DAECHWITA, HAEGEUM and AMYGDALA (and their respective MVs) make up the trilogy that represents Suga's alter ego. They are part of the same universe and tell of the struggles between their inner demons and other personas. They are simply incredible, revealing, deeply symbolic and meaningful. DAECHWITA (traditional Korean march, played for kings, army movements, etc.), is the first in the trilogy and was an applause for all who hate him. While in the title song AGUST D Suga was full of anger, resentment and disillusionment with the world, in this song he presents himself with an impetuous but somewhat calm personality. Furthermore, in the MV there are two AGUST Ds: the one with black hair was the poor one (appears with 6 friends, mention of BTS) and the blonde one was the king (tyrant who kills opponents and dissidents). In the tent, a woman (reference to ARMY) gives the poor man the key to start the revolution. So, he and his 6 friends arrive at the king's lands without fear. Where they show the drawing of Bang Si-hyuk (“creator of BTS”). The king sentences him to death, however, even tied up and on his knees, he continues singing DAECHWITA. The other condemned men join the revolt, singing DAECHWITA. Finally, the executioner who was supposed to kill the poor man also joins the revolt, frees him and gives him a weapon, with which he kills the tyrant king. With this we have a metaphor to demonstrate the lower class “overthrowing the system”. Totally relatable to BTS who started as a discriminated group (from a small almost bankrupt company), who were despised and disdained, but ended up becoming the biggest Korean group in k-pop (true kings of the game). In the time of dynasties, the poor would never be part of the elite but today BTS who started small is the elite. The achievement was extremely difficult, however, with hard work, talent and determination they “overthrew” the dominant system of the Korean music industry (and continue to do so until now, overturning the arrogance and prejudice of the global music industry). Fun fact: JIN and JUNGKOOK appear as extras in the MV - they fight when SUGA bumps into JIN at the fair. 💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷💜🇧🇷
This, just coming off of Standing Next to You. This is about the point where you start to think - how the HECK are these seven men all in the same group together??? BUT THEY ARE. It just gets more and more mindblowing, going back and forth between what they do as soloists, and then what they do together.
Watch DKTV, the trilogy is translated by a Korean. There's a lot of symbolism in all 3. Then you'll understand the concept of them. This is his life story & how he's been able to overcome mental health problems. Definitely need to know & you'll be inspired by his unflappable strength & better understanding of Agust D aka Suga . Gotta love & respect him for his perseverance. 🔥🔥🔥 💜 from 🇺🇸 💜 🗽 💜
Thank you for actually paying attention to the lyrics and even watching it twice. It’s so refreshing to see a reactor actually pay attention to what’s being said because it adds so much more to the song. I don’t feel like pulling my hair out watching your reactions. Thank you very much 💜
I'm not sure how much you know about Min YoonGi aka Suga/AugstD....but as you liked his MV then the following info might be of interest to you. Suga/Agust D began writing music lyrics and working with MIDI at age 11 and held a part-time job composing and arranging music at a recording studio at age 16. Active under the name "Gloss" (wordplay on his name YoonGi, which means "to shine") as an underground rapper in his hometown Daegu, He originally entered Big Hit Entertainment as a producer at age 17 and became the second member to join BTS..... At BTS debut in 2013 he was 20 y.o.... he is one of BTSs main producers/songwriters/composers and has over 150 song copyrights.... he also produces for other artists and has won awards for his work.... he is one of the fastest rappers in South Korea. Suga (SHU-GA.... from Shooting Guard - the position he played in basketball) ...... AgustD = SUGA + DT (Daegu Town - his hometown) Spelt Backwards Between his commitments as a member of BTS, Suga/Agust D took advantage of time on the plane and in hotel rooms after concerts to continuously produce, write and compose music. In an interview for Grazia Korea, Suga/Agust D expressed a desire to release the music he wanted to do without having to consider popular appeal or music ranking. He intended to release his music for free in the form of a mixtape to avoid such considerations, commenting that an album "has a feeling of being trapped in some sort of framework" due to the need for company involvement in promotion and advertising. He has released 2 mixtapes - and last year released his first official album (of which he continues to maintain full creative control) Developing Agust D musically on the base of hip hop, much of Agust D's inspiration for the lyrics came from his own stories of dream, youth, and reality. In order to differentiate his work from that of his work as Suga, he developed the alter ego "Agust D". He is best known for his honest hardhitting lyrics. Bookish Theories RUclips channel has really good explanations to BTS videos as there is a lot of cultural references and depth to this song that really will blow your mind This is the first song in a trilogy..... He is a master storyteller.... a fellow army best explained the trilogy as - Daechwita... ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others Haegeum... ridding himself of the confines of modern society Amygdala... he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place. Daejanggeum Park is where the MV was filmed.... It is a giant film set that doubles as a public historical park where people can come to "experience" old times. Hope you have a great day💜💜Sending Greetings from Australia
Hi there ! First of all Greetings from Ireland , second .. i really enjoyed reading this .. i was fun to find out alot about him and you`ve done a really good job wording out essential info ! i appreciate it ! Hope you gonna have a great one as well !
😂 I bet that woke you right up! It’s definitely a “lazy time is up, get back in the (field, fight, game etc)” song. Daechwita is a genre of Korean military/ceremonial music played mostly to announce the arrival/presence of the king and/or his army. So imo, he’s saying “Let EVERYONE (“play it LOUD”) know I (the King/the Boss) have arrived/I am here” and/or “Let everyone know my ARMY is marching”.
Yoongi is soooo good. Glad you are listening to this. He's so fierce in this song. He has so many levels to his personality. He said recently in his solo concert that he's not so angry now. He said I want to be less angry now. Who knows what he will feel like after his army service.
Man, I was so sure you are Romanian. Glad to see Romanians are reacting to BTS.💜 If I may, please read up on Yoongi (Suga, or Agust D) as there is a lot of meaning behind his songs. Also, when you get to the Cypher Series, you should read up on each of them as they use a lot of cultural analogies. If you are going to react to Yoongi's trilogy, please do read up on it as it will make you understand the videos better.. I recommend DDANEG with the lyrics explanation. I guarantee you will gain even more respect for their craft and their immense talent. Mult succes in continuare! 💜
Thanks for the reaction next you should check "August-d" and "Haegum" mvs they are the best rap songs of him he can also sing in beautiful voice I suggest "People pt2 and Sessaw" they're amazing💜💜
They filmed the mv for this in TWO DAYS! Yoongi had to take lessons to learn the sword dance, which he does with finesse! Def watch the DKDK video explaining this song, they do lots of BTS's other songs on there as well which might help with giving more insight.
It will be next level if you watch the explanation of Daechwita on DKDKTv channel. It gives you Korean cultural references so you can see how clever he is telling the story. There are two other rap line songs with explanations that are so good. Ddaeng and Ugh. Ty!!
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!! This is the best way to get into the solo work. I’m suggesting starting with the rap line solo work and then songs just with rap line like Ddaeng, Ugh, or Outro: Tear. Separately, you can get to know the Vocal line and just vocal line songs. Sooooo much music 😂 I hope you are up for it.
💜So, so satisfying!! Love Agust D! He has awesome, diverse deliveries within his raps and such passion in his voice even on his slower songs. I’m sure everyone expects you to do the rest of the trilogy but the self-titled song ‘Agust D’ as well as Suga’s solo Interlude:Shadow and the BTS Cyphers are absolutely worth a listen. Lol honestly anything Min Yoongi in my opinion😂 I enjoyed learning how you personally relate to the energy of the song💜
Yes, the Cyphers! I love Cypher 3 and Cypher 4. Victor, the Cypher songs are by the rap line: RM, Suga and Jhope. No MVs but there are live performances.
Yesssss! I’ve been waiting for this one! There’s a making of MV for this that’s worth watching. As with many BTS videos and performances, it’s worth watching a couple of times. First time to just enjoy the visual aspect, the second time to read the subtitles. Then if there’s a behind the scenes making of, then the MV again for it all to come together. Suga has his rap personality: our savage king. But he’s also known to fans as Lil Meow Meow or Grandpa because he’s really soft hearted and sweet under what can appear to be a cold façade. He’s been open about his struggles with depression, social anxiety and su!cide attempt and has lyrics about this. He seems to be happier and more settled now 💜
Mult succes in continiuare....
Really loved this reaction ❤, Suga is our Savage king!😊 Deachwita, Haegeum and Amigdala making a trilogy and deep meanings in it. He is referring to his own experiences. You should watch his "AgustD" music video,a perfect slap to the haters ,people who looked down on them. All of them have their own music taste and style when it comes to own projects. Really God picked up 7extra talented musicians from different parts and put them in one group.3 wonderful rappers and 4 amazing vocals!!that makes BTS an unmatchable, unstoppable group in the world ❤. Yeah V has the soothening angelic voice. You should watch his tiny desk performance. Loved this reaction 🎉🎉💜
I really like Suga, I think my fav Suga' songs are First Love and Nevermind. Honestly, he has a wide range of really good songs, but these are the one that I listen the most from him. I recommend you to listen to Jin - epiphany, the music video bc I love it and I need you to read the lyrics AND the live performance bc it's AMAZING
Haha, I really knew you'd love this one, listening twice is jokes. Maybe try out one of the cyphers next (cypher part 1, 2 or 3) I recommend watching a live performance of these with subtitles.
I want you reaction to A to the G to the U to the STD "Agust" D MV cz this song it's my favorit and maybe can your favorit to 😊 and i hope you try reaction to live performance Agust D consert don forget it
One of the 3 best rappers in BTS, i keep on comimg back to this DAECHWITA, it's soooo good, Suga"s flow hits different 💪🔥👏🏻👏🏻💜💜💜 he's a master of his craft, HAEGEUM & AMYGDALA next it's a trilogy of this MV
I absolutely love this song. It is honestly my favorite solo song and his solo albums are my favorite of the members. Suga, Agust D, Yoongi bias. This trilogy is so freaking good and I am excited to see you reaction for all 3 song. Haegeum and Amygdala!! I do get constantly "wrecked" (swayed) by the other members, especially when they release their solos; but I always come back to this song/trilogy. OT7💜 I would love for you to react to Spring Day with the explination video when you get the chance as well!
My favorite songs from Suga/Agust D Deachwita Haegeum Amygdala People That That Psy Agust D HUH ft. J-hope First love Intro Shadow Eight So Far away Life goes on - Agust D version Snooze Dear my friend D-day Give it to me Blueberry Eyes MAX SDL Hansool Sugas interlude Halsey Set me free
Hey! I see that you're diving into kpop and based on which genres you like, I suggest you check out some other groups with more EDM sounds. Girlgroups usually do that type of song more often. Groups like: Everglow, Blackpink, CLC, EXID have the best songs imo. Giving their most viewed music videos would be a good way to start.
solid advice but for now im gona stick with bts only .. theres just so much to react to plus i have other content im lagging behid... think im gonna start to stream soon so i can cover moer like that !
Larebedere.
Can u do DNA and Go Go and then do a solo for each of the members RM - Wildflower (with youjeen) Jin - Epiphany Suga - That That (with PSY) J-Hope - Chicken Noodle Soup Jimin - Who, Like Crazy and Set Me Free Pt2 V - Its definitely you (with Jin) and Stigma Jungkook - Standing Next to You, 3D, Seven, Yes or no, Please Dont Change, Ik theres more than one for certain members (some do more solo work than others) and for jungkooks you could do two in each video since theres a lot
Yes, I am also old, so I know that saying, with the head and the sword, too bad that a lot of Romanians do apply that!😂 Greetings from Romania 💜🇹🇩

This is the first song in a trilogy..... He is a master storyteller.... a fellow army best explained the trilogy as -
Daechwita... ridding himself of the need to prove his worth to others
Haegeum... ridding himself of the confines of modern society
Amygdala... he investigates the inner demons and trauma that started his confinement in the first place.
Suga/AgustD wrote, composed and produced the songs, he conceptualised the MVs and had creative control (working as usual with Director Lumpens (Choi YongSeok) who does most BTS MVs)
Fun facts -
The gun used was a Colt M 1860 ARMY

I absolutely love this song. It is honestly my favorite solo song and his solo albums are my favorite of the members. Suga, Agust D, Yoongi bias. This trilogy is so freaking good and I am excited to see you reaction for all 3 song. Haegeum and Amygdala!!
I do get constantly "wrecked" (swayed) by the other members, especially when they release their solos; but I always come back to this song/trilogy. OT7💜
I would love for you to react to Spring Day with the explination video when you get the chance as well!

Yes Suga :)
Sugaaaaaa🎉🎉🎉
There are explanation videos for most BTS videos, this song has one.
Random fact: John Cena, a former WWE wrestler and now famous actor, is ARMY?!!
🤩💜 SUGA
Be that you started you have to finish the trilogy- and then snooze and the last
Loveeeeeeeeeeeeee
idk if anyone has reacted to this, so I will just silently nod my head when you made a One Piece pun 😌✨️
I love Agust D and SuGa best rap ❤ Cypher pt1/4
So glad you did this reaction, please do solos for each member to get to know them! :)
Thank you! Will do!
@ Thank you! So excited for the rest
Hi. Check minute 3:44 behind Suga are Jin and Jungkook being part of the video
seen them now haha
I love you Suga ! You are a good man !
Please watch all way to end, even if lyrics done 😊
Larebedere.
Solid advice , thanks !
Can u do DNA and Go Go and then do a solo for each of the members
RM - Wildflower (with youjeen)
Jin - Epiphany
Suga - That That (with PSY)
J-Hope - Chicken Noodle Soup
Jimin - Who, Like Crazy and Set Me Free Pt2
V - Its definitely you (with Jin) and Stigma
Jungkook - Standing Next to You, 3D, Seven, Yes or no, Please Dont Change,
Ik theres more than one for certain members (some do more solo work than others) and for jungkooks you could do two in each video since theres a lot
I love your video
thanks ! :D
Yes, I am also old, so I know that saying, with the head and the sword, too bad that a lot of Romanians do apply that!😂 Greetings from Romania 💜🇹🇩
Saluuuut
Ms pt explicatie
This is a trilogy...next please wacth Haegum ang Amygdala💜💜
solid advice .. will follow !
Suga the last or that that or dear my friend d day
Check out Jin and Jungkook is also in the MV
Please react to BTS's Christmas Carol Medley 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon Music Festival.
❤ HI VICTOR, DEINE REAKTIONEN MACHEN VIEL SPAß 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤

I loved his concert, you should check it out. It was rated as one one of the best of the year.
