- Finally, the wait is over! Welcome to Part 1 of my (most likely) 5-part series look back at one of my favorite childhood cartoons: The 2003 4Kids adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
In this video I will be covering the first four seasons, talking about what works, what doesn't, and my overall opinion on the show. Enjoy!

shredders voice actor really did such an amazing job.
I really like the 2003 TMNT it's differently a mirror image from the Mirage Comics which I appreciate. Raphael and Casey Jones friendship is truly homage to the comics and the '90s movie. To answer your question yes Mirage Studio executive Peter Laird and Lloyd Goldfine who is creator/developer had known the Ninja Turtles since the original Mirage Studios comics had their hands in everything when it comes to the comics stories being adapted into the 2003 series. They reading every outline and draft of the script, and approving most of the character designs. But certain aspect they wanting to changed and surprise the fans with the reveal of Shredder trying something different throwing the viewers off. That's why the show known as Mirage's 2003 TMNT TV series. The episode with Jack Kirby drawing coming to life it's also a call back to April's origin story when she found out that's she is not real but was created by a Magic Pen her dad drew to make another child. FUN FACT: The 5th season was supposed to be the final season but since it moved to Kids WB they wanted a more kid friendly season to sell toys and not to lose their rating of TV-Y7.
Splinter clarifies in season 1 that he never told his sons about The Foot because he never wanted their training to be tainted by revenge
This honestly makes me feel he didn't fully rewatch the series.
@@TheMainOne. interesting that you comment to old, well… comment but I appreciate it nonetheless. I love this series too much to not speak up on simple mistakes

If someone fails the Shredder, he usually just swiftly kills them. The reason he didn't kill Stockman is because he still needed his technical skills.
That checks out.
I remember this reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 and I really do like the character's design and personalites a lot better than the other reboots from 1985, 2013 and 2018. It's a shame they never made a proper complete series onto DVD with all the season1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 because that would keep the memories of the series alive with the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , I know they already made a few DVDs from 2003 which is disappointment sadly and I can only watch them on RUclips as long as the episodes are still there😔.
Nickelodeon bought the TMNT 2003 series so you can watch it in its entirety on Paramount+ now.
Awesome video! This is actually my favorite show of all time so I’m always looking out for these rules or review videos. That shredder sound you mentioned is so Incredible to me it’s like scratching my brain whenever I hear it and see him. Also mikey is the most talented turtle in this show they refer to it often. He has the most natural abilities of all the turtles he is just lazy sometimes. But it shows every once in a while he has to clutch up like in Atlantis all his brothers are captured and he defeats the bad guy alone. Bishop to me is the best villain in this series he is so terrifying and you are correct he does become a good guy in the future when he’s president. Also that donetello episode is insane I still think about how mind blown I was as a kid watching that episode
My theory on the clone shredders is that they're early mutation research who use his likeness and later on they abandoned this to construct the underground base in Notes from the Underground.
Great Review, loved this show growing up and I still love it now. Looking forward to watching the rest of the reviews in the series :)
4:16 - Should have added 'Why the shell not?' xD
I got into the franchise with Rise a little over a year ago. When I decided I wanted to look into other turtle media, I tried out the 2012 version first and couldnt really get into it. But, when I went back further to give this one a shot instead, I absolutely loved it! It was like what I saw from 2012 but with every gripe I had with it taken out with surgical precision lmao.
I love this show
My fav adaptation of tmnt and fav episodes surely are underground city saga only filler episodes that i aknowledge
Got to be honest Hun on the Run and Bad Day deserved a call out, also that description or lack their of for Good Genes was pretty half baked, no mention of the Mystic Ninjas using Bishop to destroy the Heart of Tengu to free themselves of Karai's control to lead into the next episode 'The Ninja Tribunal'.
If you think the first theme song is great wait till you hear the Back To The Sewers theme song
Great w
Correction: Leatherhead is a AILGATOR not a crocodile
5:01 that was a literal hell we 90's kids had to sit through.
I just hope nobody decides to review that demon spawn.
I don’t remember much of that show. I remember them teaming up with Space Power Rangers, but that’s it
@@shizuwolf Same. I remember sometimes seeing the "Next! Teenage mutant ninja turtles!", getting excited, and then seeing this.
50:28 actually figures for those designs were released and called the sewer spewers. Here's one commercial featuring the figures ruclips.net/video/qNleevHXkuw/видео.html
Why does no one show any love towards this version of the Rat King? He was able to take on all 4 turtles and Casey! Combine that with the type of mind games the 2012 version did, he could’ve been a kickass villain!
Mostly because he’s just a laughing lunatic with no depth
@@autobotproductions1244 he had potential. That potential was never explored
@@shizuwolf fair. he never even interacted with Splinter
