NCC Webinar Sept 2024 | Broadband Affordability: The Metrics that Drive and Divide Us

The connection between poverty and lack of access to broadband services has been researched many times over the past decade. In the latest report by NCC, additional data from the American Community Survey and the Census further reveal the correlation between individuals living below the poverty line and those who do not have access to an Internet Subscription.
The report examined over 270 cities, counties, towns, municipalities, and parishes, five US territories, and all 50 states - with a special focus on the communities with the least correlation between broadband adoption and poverty rates. Why are some areas more or less successful in addressing these gaps? What do these least correlated areas have in common? We hope that answers to these questions can help address the digital divide across the world.
