I have a beat diesel which does not have this function and few years back I was driving a friend's xuv 300( top model) on hills, I was unaware how to use hill hold,, so i have to use more clutch and more accelerator, which resulted in burning smell from clutch plates.. I guess...
Had I seen your video at that time,, ride would have been much comfortable.

Three seconds is fine, but the hill hold must be deactivated as soon as you press the accelerator, whether you press it in one second or two seconds. A fixed three-second delay should not be implemented.

Use handbrake on slopes to avoid back roll. Give Power ,clutch bite point then release handbrake.
