    At first I was proud that this deaf girl is cheering. Then I realized that she’s not deaf and this is the style. Now I can say I don’t understand a word they are saying. Everything is not for everyone as they say. 🤷🏽‍♀️

    Who taught them to shout like that? The point of lowering your voice while doing stomp and shake is to keep your voice steady and stop it from straining. You’re meant to understand the words being said. Not to sound like you’re yelling.

    She is NOT deaf. She’s cheering in a specific style that her whole squad does and they ALL sound exactly like this when they cheer as well. She’s using her “cheer voice”.
    I admit, it’s hard to understand them when they cheer like this, but this style is very popular and really hypes up the crowd.

      😂😂😂 SAMEEE! I cheered from middle school all the way to college and I'm 35, now. I've literally never heard of this cheer style? We were forced to enunciate and pronounce every syllable of every word in our cheers. IDK who came up with this, or decided to teach this, but... nahh. I'm not loving it.

    While yes, this is stomp and shake,
    this is not a great example.
    They're high schoolers so its understandable but their diction, pronounciation, and clarity needs work. Without it, it comes out like loud mumbles.
    Some girls were more skilled in those areas than others though and it paid off

The only reason I mentioned shaking their butts is because you can only go by their movements cause you can’t understand them. Maybe I should have said they should use sign language so people can know what they’re talking about. Is that ok with you?

    Apparently it’s a style of cheer, there’s a video of the rest of the girls performing and they speak the same, so neither deaf or speech impediment

    She may or may not be deaf, for those wondering. She’s most likely not as all of the others that do stomp-shake sound almost exactly the same, but there is a chance that she is and if we’re talking about her voice it would almost tell you if she was . The voice thing when she goes clear saying words she might not be deaf as she’s not moving very much when they say it but if you think she is and she was then she sounds like that because she most likely uses or practiced those words a lot (who really knows) so she has a voice for it and other words she may not use as frequently so she hasn’t really gotten a voice for them yet. But OVERALL AHAHAHA GREAT SHE SO PRETTY AND SHE DOES IT SO WELL😭

    This is just my personal opinion but I don’t like the fact that people who don’t even understand what’s going on in the video are just jumping to conclusions or judging. All cultures have different ways to doing things, they literally do this at a lot of schools…they mainly do it because it hypes the crowd up Ask before you assume and you will be informed.

      I went to a high school with a step team, and a black cheerleading team and I’ve never in my life ever heard of a cheer squad that disliked enunciation this much. So naturally when I first saw the video I assumed deafness or speech impediments were involved. I don’t think it’s a cultural thing, I think it’s special to this school. Honestly I still don’t know if it’s a choice or not, but either way at least they’re having fun, and the crowd is hyped up

    It is different, but your talent is focused on as much because the tone isn't understood. Maybe try changing your pitch. The deep tone isn't generally natural for ladies.

    I did watched few of this type cheerings but for some reason only this and the other girl sounds kinda deaf... Idk why is that, but saying that this is because of the style isn't fully right. If it was, why others doesn't sound like that? It's not about voice itself, it's something about how they say words. 🤔

    What in the New millennials ish is this? I too thought the young lady was deaf and rooting for her. Until; as always, I go to the comments and c the original vid. my daughter's and nieces are all cheerleader's currently. Words are usually heard and the crowds are always hyped with coherency. Is this a south thing? I've never seen this in Jersey even with stomp, yes it's more aggressive but u can still understand what's being said.
