That would be nice but it's entirely unrealistic. Ukraine does not have the equipment to conduct an amphibious landing and keep a beachhead supplied with the necessary heavy equipment and supplies.
If Ukraine liberates Crimea, this will give their army a potential to move north behind the defensive lines of the invaders which could lead to more lands liberated.
I don't agree with the need to take out a big section of the bridge. They need to disable it asap and shouldn't delay just to make the repair take longer.
It should actually be a big section on both sides going both ways at least a quarter mile. They can never fix that it would take around 2 years plus they don't have the $ for cleanup or repair,plus they risk being attacked trying to repair it😂😂😂

As long as the (now fortified) land bridge exists, the downing of the crimean bridge will not cause catastrophic conditions in Crimea. It'll be a big symbolic blow, but an untennable situation for the Russians will only arise once both the crimean bridge and the land bridge through the Donbas has been severed.

Chris, the Russians have largely removed their air force and navy from Crimea for awhile. Those Russian air defenses were largely defending supplies and infantry units. They may have some smaller air units in Southeast Crimea out of missile range. The attack on the Su-57s was a more attractive target. I saw on another pro-Ukranian podcast that the Russians have many of their fighters located there. The Rostov on Don to Crimea railroad doesn't seems able to supply Crimea. Destroying the Kerch Bridge could easily starve out Crimea in time. The Russians would have to reduce the Crimea population or slowly starve. I don't think Ukraine has the resources for a large attack on Crimea. Crimea will become probably a military backwater region with less significance.
