Keep pumping these Vlogs out. Looking forward to the Becky Briggs mini series and your return. Can't believe you're around 8k subs. This is one of the handful of the best running channels on RUclips. Should be far higher.
super interested to follow the rehab from here, if anything this next part will be the most interesting part for the viewers as it'll be more functional with physio etc instead of just wearing a cast etc
Glad you're in good spirits, this series will definitely help others who may be struggling with injuries. Not being able to run can feel like the end of the world but keeping positive and working on the things you can control is key 👊
Best of luck Callum. I had a complete Achilles rupture in Aug 2003 and after a couple of minor setbacks was able to get in a mile walk/jog by march 2004 …everything then progressed smoothly in returning to pre injury levels. You’ll be back quicker than ever!
Good to see you’re staying positive & making progress Callum! Super glad you’ve got the time to get the podcast back on, and was good to hear your feature on Inside Jogging as well! Keep on keeping on dude!
Loving these vlogs Cal. I've been injured since January coming off the back of a big half PB and targeting a 2:32 at London Marathon. It's been really rough but these videos are helping!
Definitely up there with my favourite running channels this, and the subs are bound to come if you keep pumping out the quality vids 👌 Loving this DBNO series and looking forward to the upcoming projects you’ve got coming up, especially buzzing for the night of the 10k pbs! Looking like the last feasible opportunity for athletes chasing the standard so expecting some silly times! I’m wondering if the Hoka athletes you’re covering might be some of the lads that were out with you in SA? 🤔
Thanks for the video, great content as always! Just started my own running RUclips channel and you’ve been a massive inspiration for me to do that, hope your recovery goes well 🙏
Was interested to see that Hoka is obviously continuing its relationship with you. I have read about some shoe companies behaving pretty disgracefully when one of "their " athletes gets seriously injured and unable to race. Looks like Hoka is being very fair in its dealings with you. Keep up the work, things are obviously moving in the right direction - even if not in a completely straight line!
Signed a contract, ran #7 UK all-time indoor mile & represented them at World Champs all within 2 months - they’ve got their money’s worth already!! Jokes aside, great brand & people - they believe in my long-term trajectory 💪🏼
Quality really enjoy your vlogs best athletic vlog on utube you should look at being a presenter on athletic meets when you retire all the best with your recovery Callum
Once you can swim it will be a great milestone. I got a partial tear in about 2012 and got well into swimming! Bikes cool too but you have to be really careful on the roads!
Hi Callum Just wanted to say that i loved the video today and also that I really liked the kit review section bit and would love to see in future videos when you get new kit from Hoka. Apart from that I hope you have a good week and keep going with what you are doing.
Hey Callum, I am an old runner and a Strava follower. I enjoy every single minute of your contents. I know how frustrating it can be when you are injured but you are doing a great job in keeping yourself motivated and fit. All the very best for a rapid recovery. PS. As I live in the same area, Taj is my favourite curry, how do you like it? 😉😉
Really great to see the increase in minutes on the bike! How many weekly minutes are you aiming to get up to? Also it seems like a lot of athletes like Parker Valby and even Kristian Blummenfelt have great success in running with a lot of cross-training - is that something you consider even after you are completely fit again now that you have such a nice peloton?
I’ll have to keep cross training for a long time as it will be ages until my mileage is back to full capacity, even once back running. I don’t have a real set aim, just playing it as I go & making sure to take a rest day when I need it to prioritise recovery!
Noticed you're walking to/from Costa with the crutch on the good side, but in the clip after the cast off you have the crutch supporting the injured side - isn't it supposed to stay consistent to support the weaker side?
After the cast off in the hospital was literally my first 5 steps, I had no idea how I should approach using the crutches. Once the doctor came in (5 mins later) & told me to do it on the other side, that’s what I’ve done.
I've no doubt someone has already asked you, but how have Hoka been with you since your injury, are feeling any kind of pressure from them and is your contract under threat from ending early?
Keep pumping these Vlogs out. Looking forward to the Becky Briggs mini series and your return.

Thanks mate! Appreciate it
Really looking forward to the Becky Briggs feature. Well done on highlighting RED-S outside of female specific media
Thanks :)
Best episode yet of the Down but not Out series. Well done.
Cheers mate!

Thanks mate!
This is one of best running videos that I have ever seen, despite the fact that there's almost no running in it. Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it!
Super excited for the videos ahead! You are definitely the definition of “make a good thing out of a hard situation”!
I hope so!

00:52 Mayo for Sam!!!
Nice video. Be looking forward to watching the physio treatments in regards to your injury.
Thanks Ian.
Glad the recovery is going well mate 👌🏼
Cheers mate!

Appreciate it mate! Thank you
Glad you're still feeling positive. I was gutted for you that race night.
Cheers mate!
@@the.distanceproject Sounded good on the Inside Jogging podcast as well. 👍
Once you can swim it will be a great milestone. I got a partial tear in about 2012 and got well into swimming! Bikes cool too but you have to be really careful on the roads!
Yep, definitely looking forward to some aqua jogging etc. - a little while off that yet!

Excuse me sir are you coming to Tonbridge Athletic Club on Saturday?
Yes mate
Great video

Great video as always

Loving the content!

I love the bts style videos!!
💪🏼💪🏼
Glad it wasn't too much of a setback, must have been pretty stressful for you all the same.
It’s quite a setback 🤣
@@the.distanceproject I meant the seeping from overdoing it, not the shredded achilles 🤕
I’ll have the arm sleeves if you’re not using em 😂
I will once I’m running 🤣🤣

@@the.distanceproject haha madness, I would've presume to use it on the effected side
That kind of seeping wound almost feels like a natural stage of healing. Glad it wasn't too serious. That's a sh*tload of Hoka gear. Does it all fit?
Pretty much :)
I've no doubt someone has already asked you, but how have Hoka been with you since your injury, are feeling any kind of pressure from them and is your contract under threat from ending early?
It’s been mentioned in the previous videos - worth a watch! Brand is fully in support of me :)
A question : what will happen if you will just sprint ? (Btw love your content , keep going broski 😊)
My Achilles will tear & I will fall on my face
8000 subs is no less meaningful than 14"40 miling 😂💪 Keep up the good work
🤣 cheers mate
Outro music change request to Cast - Walkaway, please. ❤
👊🏻
