    Great idea, No 1.
    If I would modify it, I'd use a section of angle for the top clamp.
    More rigid than the plate, which deforms under pressure.
    But definitely inventive, and a great idea for later.

    )) а ведь бывает так что электрод намертво залипнет , ну там вовремя его под угол не согнул и вот он начинает раскаяться , и допустим ты в трудно доступном месте на лестнице , и до кнопки ВЫКЛ не достать )))) думаю что прищепка всеже удобней , и с ней быстрее сменить электрод

      Not the thing in the thumbnail. I really wanted to know what that was for and if you could just use a t-strap hinge to accomplish the same goal.

    I'm glad I live where $1.99 still allows me to buy a 12 to 16 inch clamp.
