Luck is a thing and it isn't handed out evenly among the world's population, or it would be an illusion. In theory we can all appreciate the strategy, but no two people applying it throughout their poker career are going to get the same results. And it is not like there isn't a limited number of spots that really matter in over all outcome.

Poker is an extremely high risk industry, very competitive and success is very reliant in one's high equity spots. Which we cannot control. I agree with everything you said in this video, the skill and mindset should never be in a victim format but having great skill and a great mindset is far from guaranteed success in this industry.

It's the same thing in sports. There are crazy good basketball players who don't make the NBA. It's how things are, not everything has an explanation

yeah this "strategy" advice for the the turn I don't understand. vs 4 players when flop was bet and all called and its a deep cash game pot is for sure not a bet, it's x and decide... when turn as in this one gets checked through maybe you can bet river and fold to a raise....

Great content to real poker (live poker) and not as good to online poker that is a 100000% a scam

There are statistical outliers for sure. It's gambling bro, there are infinite amounts of unexplainable swings and outcomes in gambling

It won't hurt to play cautiously. If you kept on betting just to make others fold, then realizing that they already flop the nuts and you got nothing in the end, won't that be bad? And not everyone will just fold just because you played aggressively. That rarely works on others especially amateurs. 😂

Not adapting your play based on how you're running neglects the concept of a downswing.

I personally believe that Luck, like most things in Life, can be explained through a Bell Curve. Most people end up right in the middle. Perfect 50/50 Luck. However Standard Deviations on that Scale do exist with various People falling into said Deviations. Telling people who have both studied the Game and the Math deeply enough to know how often these situations SHOULD happen as well as kept track of the situations in relation to themselves so as to have data indicating that they fall into the -1 Luck Deviation as “It’s just you, get better at the Game Bro” is both disingenuous and more than a little dickish. I understand that’s your intent but it had to be said. For the random people who only ever play a couple of times in their lives it can be brushed aside but for people who play enough over the course of years to understand the difference in results between them and other regular players it does need to be part of the thought process on deciding whether to continue playing or not…

Obviously luck isn't handed out fairly or it wouldn't exist as a thing.

With poker. You need a standard amount of luck, but you need a lot of it in a short period so you win the tournament and cash big.

@@mattdesantis2628 There are key moments that are few enough in poker tournament play that makes luck a key component. Perhaps I haven't played enough games in the five years I put time into it a few years back but it is those key moments that seemed to have determined my career and my commitment to that career. I came out on top in terms of winnings but for way under minimum wage and stressed to f*uck and no longer happy to be playing.
