Fortress Stadium is one of the most famous hangout spots in Lahore, but what I have observed over the years is that it still looks the same as it used to look some 25 years ago, apart from some addition of shopping malls like Fortress Square or Carrefour. I believe that they need to pay some attention in this regard and improve their infrastructure. For instance, many things can be developed in the empty parks at the entrance i.e. an artificial lake or a group of dancing fountains like that in Dubai. In this way, it will provide a fresh look to Fortress and also serve as a source of entertainment for its visitors.

The best hangout place in 90s. Unfortunately, fortress lost its charm due to new developments of city. But i still will rank it the best in Pakistan. A place where you can enjoy amusement park, shopping, food, high end grocery & what not!

@@roadsclouds It was shocking for me too. It is a public place and people should be allowed to record and capture videos and pictures. I was shooting from my car while driving when an army person shout to stop and told me to stop recording and it is not allowed. Then another person who was his senior came told me there are boards and hoardings everywhere at the entrance about warnings and I shouldn't record otherwise I will be in trouble.
Why you need high rise buildings.....a jungle of concrete.....when it has a beauty of nature? Lahore is beautiful without buildings....and it should be like this always
There are many famous cities without much or any high rise buildings in Europe like, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm, Edinburgh, St. Petersburg, Venice, Geneva, Glasgow and Helsinki etc. and believe me these cities are more beautiful than cities full of high rise buildings.

No recording area, you should delete the video. I try recording today and they warned me that recording video is strictly prohibited
But there's nothing secret or sensitive about this area. It's a commercial area. Video recording isn't allowed anywhere in Lahore Cantonment though.
