While I don't enjoy being reminded of my own time in the government's employ, the comedy is worth the flashbacks of seething rage and endless frustration.
For anyone wondering what ‘Big M Calendars’ are (from the scene about the rowing team), Big M is a milk company. They used to have these sexy calendars of women in bikinis drinking milk. So he’s saying he’s going to put the picture of the rowing team beside his sexy calendars.
If this doesn’t sum up modern life / corporate life, I don’t know what does. The “offensive” rowing team post… man oh man. It’s “offensive”, even though no-one’s actually offended😂
@seanodonovan5408 the characters are obstinate and realistic enough that I can't just laugh at their cartoonish buffoonery. Bureaucracy is a big, slow, lumbering beast that frequently missteps on its journey forward, costing me and my fellow taxpayers millions of our hard earned dollars.
Utopia looks fantastic from these clips but there doesn't appear to be any way to watch the series in the UK? Apparently it's on Netflix but only the Australian version.
Typical employee meeting, super excited about cake for no reason whatsoever but really aggitated when they are told they need to attend a work meeting. They are keepers!
I have watched so many of your "best of" etc videos and it is sooo insanely good. Working in a large company, this feels simply too realistic. But how can I stream the actual series in Europe (or more precise Germany)? Or buy a DVD box?
10:30 hilarious how she was racist, sexists, ageist and classist in 1 single sentence, despite being the "DEI" officer This really is a documentary lol
Yeah, they tend to be somewhat blind to their own hatred. I was once called "the inventor of racism" for being white. I had yet to say anything to this person. It was actually quite amazing.
So good, just that one scene with the chiefs of staff talking about china only demonstrates the writers complete lack of understanding of geopolitics. The rest is so good, reminds me of The Thick of It

Simply outstanding comedy. Yes Minister all over again. Brilliant.

He gets the facial expressions so perfectly
13:50 is beautiful, when he wants to track everything that government workers do, nobody agrees

Thanks for the explanation! I just found this show and I think it's hilarious!
Great calendars, terrible flavoured milk 😂
I either need to find a UK site to play this, or buy a VPN. This show is gold.
