Thanks for the upload mate - great fun! As for the “Moon-eaters” I don’t think it’s some random chick at gw that thought it up. The giant Fenris wolf is destined to finally kill Odin and eat the sun and the moon specifically during ragnarock aka. Norse Armageddon. So being moon eaters makes sense for space wolves :)
Edit: Fenris kills Odin, yes, but the two wolves chasing the sun and the moon are called Skalli and Hati. The wolf eating the moon eventually is called Managarm. (;
@@GodlordBazi ah very true thank you. There’s this theory they are all aspects of Fenris because they have roles that Fenris has. The special wolf boys, who just happen to be super special with their geneseed, and really GW could have been creating cool successor chapters for the space wolves for years.
Now you can have their official wolf-successors with their own wolf-background without adding "wolf-" to any wolf-rank bc they're the Space Wolfs And you call them Space BEARS 0_0
I had a concept for a rogue successor chapter called the Ursine. These are former Space Wolves whose geneseed had mutated so as to develop traits more akin to bears. As such they'd either be just a rogue chapter, or possibly have turned traitor since one idea behind the mutation would have been Chaos corruption.
Not necessarily, there are other chapters who've mutated rather significantly without going rogue or falling to chaos. The Black Dragons have horns for crying out loud, I don't think some slightly bear-like space wolves would be much more crazy than that.
@@LAV-III i'd imagine the worst successor would have blood angel black rage, space wolf's wulfen curse, dipshit night lords attitude, suicidal salamander, stubborn imperial fist, and etc combined.
@@agamer5953 i would say every chapter has their defects, some greater than others. I think its every chapters responsibility to keep them in check or else
The 13th chapter was the one for the home brew chapters as that one was not only a place marker for the chapter that left with Russ but also all those who had over time disappeared
I've been working on a homebrew Space Wolves successor chapter which basically combines the melee brutality of the Wolves with the Psyker power of the Grey Knights, due to the fact that instead of giving their Fenrisian aspirants the Canis Helix Geneseed, they give them the Psyker Geneseed of Big E himself. They were created when a former Rune Priest and his squad tried to fight off a sudden Daemon incursion, only for all of his brothers to die in the process before he could finally finish off the ascended Daemon Prince that caused the incursion in the first place. He swore to wage an eternal crusade of vengeance against not just that particular Daemon Prince, but all of Chaos itself. A lot of Space Wolves heard about this one-man war and basically said "count me in, bruh!" before joining him on his crusade. But it took a few centuries of constantly hunting and slaughtering Daemons Doom Slayer style before the High Lords on Terra finally gave them the sanction to be officially recognized as a true successor Chapter, at which point their available resources got a LOT bigger, including implanting their aspirants from then on with Big E's Psyker Geneseed to become that much more effective at serving Chaos a generous helping of it's own ass.
Dude you have got to talk about Ragnar sometime, the dude is savage and smart as fuck for a Space Wolf. Just got through his six book saga and loved it. Loved the comedy later with Haegr and the loyalty they showed to their house. Worth a read if you looking for some good entertainment.

@@THCthehempcloud As a Space Corgi player myself, I would love to hear more about the Iron Hands in the near future as well. The Iron Warriors and Perturabo were quiet unpopular once as well, until GW gave them the spotlight for some time and now they're probably my favourite traitor legion.
I always thought the Wolves were a bit meh but they definitely have changed in my eyes after watching these MajorKill videos (Grey knights vs Space Wolves)
I always thought the space sharks were a hybrid successor chapter from both the space wolves, and the night lords. I know lore wise their more raven guard but come on. Space wolves are obsessed with wolves, space sharks are obsessed with sharks. Makes sense to me.
It's so obvious they're straight up night Lords without all the sneaky stuff. It's only said they're raven guard so the inquisition doesn't do a lamenters situation to them.
A quarter million astartes in a legion? Sounds insane. I always thought the average or normal number was 100,000 but yeah no wonder the Emperor took over so much of the galaxy.
In the case of the Thousand Sons, by landing, and walking forward slowly while shooting everything in sight until they finished walking through everything.

Part of me is actually really glad that Primaris Marines give Astartes at least a low-key something different than Chaos Marines, but I will confess that I am surprised that even already Fabius Bile hasn't captured a small force of Primaris, flensed them, figured out their genetic shenanigans, and began work on New Man 2.0. Folks could sit and argue for days about if Bile and Belisarius Cawl are comparable to one another, in their knowledge of the inner workings of Space Marines, but I feel even if Cawl is smarter, Bile could have a leg up just from having the functioning extra organs Cawl made to examine. I'm not really itching for Chaos Primaris, but I am surprised Chaos hasn't already cracked it, and started making their own, or figuring out some unexpected Primaris weakness, and started capitalizing on it.
In fairness Fabulous Bill doesn't work for chaos as a whole, he pursues what interests him. I don't doubt he probably could reverse engineer primaris to some degree it's just a question of he feels its worth his time and effort relative to other projects. Also wasn't his lab burned down or something along those lines?
They had "1" successor chapter and only 1. They split their entire navy and vehicles with them. Only for them to fall to chaos, something about being too far from fenris for extended periods of time. Their mental state deteriorated, and were easlily corrupted by chaos.
The out of universe reason was because all the unique moulds SW have would also need to be available to successors, so would need to be edited to exclude the SW iconography

I know, it is my wet dream too
I'm a space with Main. and it's good to finally see you shed more light on them, You're the only channel I go to for the Info. , hope to see more detailed videos about them go Russ.
Thank you for covering space wolves, is one of my favourite "chapters".
I have watched you grow from 10k to 100k now soon 400k I’m so proud
I never looked into these guys so this is cool
"How many SW are there?" I dont know! "Thats right, nobody knows!"
Why people hate they literally the best geneseed and canix helix is unlike any other gives them upperhand in alot of battles
@@Nomore686I feel like some people just use furry as an excuse to hate them
Idk man, all the SW books I read were entertaining as fuck. They have a lot of character development. In order to hate someone at least have a valid argument other that rawr furry xd. The mass genocide of Prospero I understand, other than that by posting the same meme goes to show you no one bothers to read awesome books. It goes for other legions too, but SW suffers the most
I don't know why but every time you say "Guys and Gal", it really does make me feel like I'm the one Gal who watches all your videos.
It's a special feeling, thank you.
Edit: Fenris kills Odin, yes, but the two wolves chasing the sun and the moon are called Skalli and Hati. The wolf eating the moon eventually is called Managarm. (;
@@GodlordBazi ah very true thank you. There’s this theory they are all aspects of Fenris because they have roles that Fenris has.
Garm (breaker of chains) and the wolf skoll (mockery) who is supposed to eat the sun in another poem and hati (hate) another name for the the moon eater wolf - but what do I know. The sagas are all over the place :)

True story:
Got my first army when I was 10, 2000 points of 3rd edition Space Wolves
Painted them with an alternate scheme (Black with ice blue trim and white fur)
Bullied by purists that my color scheme was heresy
Left hobby for over a decade
Came back for 9th Edition
Turned my old Space Wolves into World Eater proxies
Built massive Thousand Sons army
Pick grudge matches with every Space Wolf player I meet
Fuck you, loyalists.
Proof chaos players are bullied nerds.
Jk, sorry to hear that experience, as a fan of the wolves ive always been for exploring them. Even successors arent cannon, theres nothing to really dismiss a fraction of a clan from having their own color scheme.
That happened to me but I had them painted in blue horror and iron warriors paint and people were mad but I just say fuck you im painting them how I want because it’s my money
angron x sanguiniuss
I actually really like that paint scheme. Like black ice, very cool. Those guys were just doing dongs.
this is the very essence of traitor legion
2:02 Yet in the Roboutian Heresy, the Loyalist Legions were not broken up into chapters and remained true to the Imperium for 10,000 years.
the non-canon team swap you mean?
@@Thelitletrainthtcud yeah
Are you really quoting a fanfiction as a source?
You mean the Dornian Heresy?
@@EmaRussoUltra well it kinda makes sense their loyalty was tested and proved itself when they fought against their brothers and their own sons pretty sure they won't go heretic mode 10k year later
I've seen a good bit of your videos but that special bit at 0:55 killed me, you earned a sub and a like. Let's send it!
Actually one of the funniest episodes you've done. Good effort!
The special wolf boys, who just happen to be super special with their geneseed, and really GW could have been creating cool successor chapters for the space wolves for years.
Now you can have their official wolf-successors with their own wolf-background without adding "wolf-" to any wolf-rank bc they're the Space Wolfs
And you call them Space BEARS 0_0
Space Wolves: you can take your primaris toys and shove it!
Custodes *clears throat*
Spaces Wolves: these guys don't seem to bad afterall.
Have you seen the space bears over on tabletop time? If you’re into the idea of a hear like chapter you might enjoy them.
Not necessarily, there are other chapters who've mutated rather significantly without going rogue or falling to chaos. The Black Dragons have horns for crying out loud, I don't think some slightly bear-like space wolves would be much more crazy than that.
Fantastic! You gave me the inspiration I needed to finish my primaris wolves. I'll try to put up pics somewhere.
It's the same reason why Custodes take so long.
The most Loyal and mighty are rare and take too long to make.
I wonder what would the worst successor be, could they have all the flaws of all legion?
They would probably immediate die or be saved by a lamenters style curse
Obviously the marines malevolent
@@LAV-III i'd imagine the worst successor would have blood angel black rage, space wolf's wulfen curse, dipshit night lords attitude, suicidal salamander, stubborn imperial fist, and etc combined.
@@agamer5953 i would say every chapter has their defects, some greater than others. I think its every chapters responsibility to keep them in check or else
Love your content man!
let me guess their successor chapter would be space cats 🐱🐯🦁?
I have a home brew chapter that are space kitsunes
Hell yeah Space Wolves!
Vlka Fenryka for the win!
Every time Majorkill mentions the wolves, I let go a few drops with excitement!
MAGUNS is one of the best traitor primarchs.
BUTT can you do the dark mechanicum OR Imperia Navy
Magnus is cool ig.
The imperial navy would be nice, but I feel little people have covered the dark mechanicum in depth.
The 13th chapter was the one for the home brew chapters as that one was not only a place marker for the chapter that left with Russ but also all those who had over time disappeared
angron x sanguiniuss
Yeah, primaris Spehs Wolves are as savage as the OG Wolves but can they drink that poisonous mead?
Why are there so few Salamander successors? (At least prior to the Primaris)?
Because the Salamanders are still a legion, who don’t even have the numbers of a chapter.
Majorkill You make my day better.
Dude you have got to talk about Ragnar sometime, the dude is savage and smart as fuck for a Space Wolf. Just got through his six book saga and loved it. Loved the comedy later with Haegr and the loyalty they showed to their house. Worth a read if you looking for some good entertainment.
Really cool video; I'd love to see a video on the Salamanders and their heroes (Vulkan He'stan, Brayarth Ashmantle, etc.).

Bro, show some more love to the Iron Hands and their Successors. Iron Lords have their own story in the “Successors: Anthology” which is really well written and gives us some well deserved attention.
No one gives a damn about these Space Puppies!
I mean, I'm happy for the vid, I paint the puppies,
@@atlasassassin8000 my bad. I know the Space Wolves are a popular chapter. I’m just jealous cause my Iron Hands and their Successors are like legit the step children of the Imperium and GW. I’m just obligated to come up here and post “the flesh is weak” in order to show my loyalty to my ghostly Primarch, Ferrus Manus.
The flesh is weak.
@@THCthehempcloud THE FLESH IS WEAK..... you are not alone.
I sensed that I had been summoned, Brothers.
Though, do not forget the true teachings of our Father, for he never wished it upon us that we should lose our flesh in vain....
@@THCthehempcloud As a Space Corgi player myself, I would love to hear more about the Iron Hands in the near future as well.
They're like never the focus of anything, although they're one of the most unique chapters out there. On the other hand, that could be a good thing. The Iron Warriors and Perturabo were quiet unpopular once as well, until GW gave them the spotlight for some time and now they're probably my favourite traitor legion.
I love your factual and funny videos, and you’re 100% getting 420+k subs this year
I always thought the Wolves were a bit meh but they definitely have changed in my eyes after watching these MajorKill videos (Grey knights vs Space Wolves)
angron x sanguiniuss
I always thought the space sharks were a hybrid successor chapter from both the space wolves, and the night lords. I know lore wise their more raven guard but come on.
Space wolves are obsessed with wolves, space sharks are obsessed with sharks. Makes sense to me.
Excellent
The Vlka Fenryka are cool enough already. Let the Raven Guard have this cmon!
Russ had a good relationship with the primarch of the raven guard
@@lordcommissar7813 very good
It's so obvious they're straight up night Lords without all the sneaky stuff. It's only said they're raven guard so the inquisition doesn't do a lamenters situation to them.
Actually not talking about World of Warcraft, but about Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf.
Thanks for answering a question I've had for awhile now!
I almost choked and died at that god damn audio clip of the dog man.
Majorkill's got some new background 'choons. Nice.
the wolfspear look pretty badass ngl
I love the idea that Space Wolves would throw wulfen into the Eye of Terror just to fuck with chaos
Only a couple Legions had anywhere near 250,000 legionaries.
A quarter million astartes in a legion? Sounds insane. I always thought the average or normal number was 100,000 but yeah no wonder the Emperor took over so much of the galaxy.
Cause being a furry isn't passed down with gene seed, but with hours of leman fursona roleplay.
"Honey its time for your 1am Majorkill video~"
"Yes Babe..."
I love Space Wolves and Tau, when I get bored of one play style I play the other ;p
Real Wolves: famous for hunting in packs
Space Wolves: has only only chapter
5:13 I wonder if Tzeentch had something to do with Space Wolves mutating out of control into Wulfen for the giggles.
No as call discovered it like the blood angels red thirst is intentional.
I think you meant to say Tit-snitch
How did each Primarch and their Legions conquer a planet during the Crusades?
In the case of the Thousand Sons, by landing, and walking forward slowly while shooting everything in sight until they finished walking through everything.
@@danpitzer765 Lmfao wow
@@JesusRodriguez-ib8hn Sadly, that's not really a joke. It's the Thousand Sons' primary battle doctrine. So heavily trained that even before most of them were just suits of power armor, they still could rapidfire while moving, but weren't keen on sweeping advances. 'Slow and Purposeful'.
The reason there are no successor chapters of my sons is I needed to use the codex for house training mats. Also it didn’t have enough *WOLVES!*
Brother, where have you been? I told dad you went to grab a drink, and then 10.000 years passed and no word or bark from you
Can we just appreciate that magus got slapped by a dreadnought…
Always appreciate Big Dreaddy Bjorn
Majorkill for life. Love this channel
This video was absolutely class. The end had me passin the fuck outta myself
I've made my own successor chapter of the mighty wolves. Desert wolves- focus on hard fast hit and run technics that speed vehicles and power
basically chaos said "space wolves too strong, plz nerf" and GW said "we got your back boys!"
And that was the last time chaos got any love
I still cannot believe that canon Leman russ doesn't have a fucking beard
Can someone correct me if im wrong but didn't Logan Grimnar only accept the primarus marines after Gaius completed an impromptu extreme trial of Morkai who was then renamed Kjarg Iron-Oath? That and the psyker coming to him and telling him about her visions of the endtime? Its been a while since I read dawn of fire 3 but no where in the book do I remember the custodes threatening any space wolf. Guilliman straight up negotiated and was in orbit ready to leave with Logan Grimnars rejection. Not harping on ya majorkill love the vids.
Yeah i remember that as well, plus I don't think threats work on Logan
@@zoro88h thats for sure I remember vividly hoping that one bitch ass custodes named colquan got killed or humbled at least. Don't know if papa great wolf would've been able to pull that off but one can only hope.
It was written by Gav Thorpe, guy who notoriously fucked up the Dark Angels. Makes sense he'd to the same for SW
before watching. As a casual fan, my guess is... they wiped their ass with the Codex Astartes and told Guilliman, "lol no".
I'm not really itching for Chaos Primaris, but I am surprised Chaos hasn't already cracked it, and started making their own, or figuring out some unexpected Primaris weakness, and started capitalizing on it.
angron x sanguiniuss
In fairness Fabulous Bill doesn't work for chaos as a whole, he pursues what interests him. I don't doubt he probably could reverse engineer primaris to some degree it's just a question of he feels its worth his time and effort relative to other projects. Also wasn't his lab burned down or something along those lines?
They had "1" successor chapter and only 1. They split their entire navy and vehicles with them. Only for them to fall to chaos, something about being too far from fenris for extended periods of time. Their mental state deteriorated, and were easlily corrupted by chaos.
You're vids are cool mate! Made my day.
The out of universe reason was because all the unique moulds SW have would also need to be available to successors, so would need to be edited to exclude the SW iconography
Now we need a Salamanders successor chapters video.
Definitely don't feel bad about asking viewers to sub - I was watching regularly for over a year without having actually hit subscribe thanks to the algo (assumed I had) - one of those reminded me to check and do it!
I just like how the Space Wolves gave the Grey Knights & Inquisition the finger after the first war for Armageddon.
And this time, you was accurate so preach more brother captain.
