Thank you for saying that things will get better. So many times, other moms will just be like “wait until THIS happens, then you really won’t sleep…” or something similar and it’s extremely discouraging. It’s nice to hear positivity and that there is a light at the end of the sleepless tunnel

I am currently about 7 months postpartum with my second baby and the one thing I would say is that it is a little bit more challenging the second time around on many fronts…and this pandemic is certainly not making it easier. A good reminder to us all: have some grace and patience with your body and all the changes you are going through. ♥️

Thanks for sharing. I'm almost 6 months postpartum and definitely craving feeling like my old self again. I say that about the 4 month regression all the time. At least with the NB stage you're still hopped up on hormones to keep you running.
That 10 lbs that stick around is definitely tricky, I plan to do as you said and just really focus on what I'm eating. Since calorie restriction isn't great for anyone let alone while breastfeeding.
I'm just starting to feed purees this week so I really hope your secret project is a baby cookbook! And I hope it digital! Paper + kitchen is always a recipe for disaster for me.

I've never been so grateful to relate to someone peeing themselves... I had an emergency c-section 9 months ago and laughing postpartum is excruciating! I was sitting in our brand new glider and my husband made me laugh. In trying not to laugh because of the pain I literally started peeing and could NOT stop! Which of course was even more hilarious! I'm just so thankful I had towels down for whatever reason because the glider would have been destroyed! 🤣

I so appreciate your honesty and body positive outlook. I feel like as women both we and the media put a lot of pressure on moms and ourselves to “ Get back their pre pregnancy bodies.” Which is a bit insane, we spend 9 months literally growing a human putting our bodies under huge amounts of stress and physical changes. So many women experience postpartum depression or trauma from labour, not to mention exercising intensely is prohibited for the first 4-8 weeks after delivery. I think exercise is super important after giving labour but working your way up to walking 1-2 hours and caring for your baby can be a sufficient workout. I find exercise is most important for faster recover and to gain strength and mobility back. We need to focus more on projecting the message of healing and strengthening our bodies after birth and let the weight loss come naturally and gradually. Which can take 9 months or more. Thank you for mentioning pelvic floor strengthening. It’s so often overlooked . People rush into a workout regimen and hurt themselves because their body is still recovering.

Me (15months since my last anorexic restrictions) : amen. It take years to reverse that mode sometimes. My doctor works hard with me on food. Big changes that were made to help me be healthy And LOOSE WEIGHT : whole fat milk, tones of nuts, grains, fruits and veggies galores... You hungry after diner??? Get more! Since doind that ive lost 15lbs!!!! Eating more good stuff sometimes means inches off! On top being more healthy. Also learning to eat without guilt. A big favorite of mine lately, chips with peanut butter.

I 💯 relate to you! I am glad you are feeling like yourself again that’s great and encouraging for others who read your comment. I sort of had a similar journey to Nicole when it comes to the weight loss and gaining some strength back in the core & PF but my second pregnancy took a heavier toll on my body. I have gained quite a bit more weight (20 lbs heavier this time) and 2 sizes at least. I still don’t feel 💯 like myself and tend to think of my current body as a “temporary” body, which I do realize is not very positive, and I have also been dealing with chronic pain on the right side of my body which has gotten worse this time and made it hard for me to be as active as I would like, but I am still giving it my best and trying to be patient. We will all get there…whatever that means for everyone! ♥️

Love the poop story lmao 😂, after I had my oldest daughter the nurse came in told me to chew these tablets I asked her what they were. She said oh for gas it helps move things along, 2 hours later more tablets to chew. Fast forward 6 hours later I'm yelling at my husband help me get up I have diarrhea!! Omg 😳 the nurse pumped me full of laxatives. Later that night I remember begging the night nurse to stop giving me them to me ..

@@shannassecret4225 I've tried many things including teas for my stress...unfortunately nothing has worked so far.
I have high daily stress and very little sleep that's probably why I'm so drained and tired all the time. Plus my son wants to nurse 4x a night!
I havent had a break since his birth...I'm literally at home with him 24/7. We have no family or friends in our area to take him once in awhile and my husband works 6 days a week sun up sun down. Oh and my son has never taken a nap during the day! Ever! Only on my back or my arms....so no break there either! 😭

My 9 month old has pooped all over me 2 times. The first time was the day she was born. After I pushed her out and as they were putting her in my chest she pooped all over me.. The second time I was changing her diaper on my bed and she projectile poops just like sage did. It’s was all over my dresser, my arm, shirt, and carpet😂
