Mate thank you for a great description of how to rebuild a rzr 2009 front diff. I removed and open my identical diff today and it's pretty knacked. I had to gas axe the pinion brgs off and vaporized the spacer. I'm a rare rzr Aussie manic, and almost zero spares and support here in Australia. Where do I order that improved pinion brgs set from? I use SuperATV for most of my equipment, spares etc. Cheers from Aussie
Hello Sir! Sounds like your diff for sure is needing some love. Lol I ordered the bearing and seal kit off eBay.. the sellers name is Filtersnmore and the item number for the kit is 142399255584 Hope that helps! Sorry for the slow reply.. just got back from vacation, riding in the mountains.
Excellent stuff,. I've found the bearing & seal kit and ordered it, thx heaps. How about doing that quick video on installing brgs on pinion gear you mentioned. I noticed there is no pinion spacer and the roller brg appears thicker so does it eliminate the need for the spacer? This is important as I no longer have a spacer (after vaporizing it with gas axe removing brg outer races) and don't have dimensions to get one machined up, that's why I contacted you after seeing your video. Where have you been riding in what mountains? You Americans have some kick arse country to explore. I'm lucky and own 50acres so we race around at home, (I live in Victoria, sth Eastern states of Australia) but our state government are complete tools and we get massive fines if caught using a UTV in state forest or National parks, basically if you don't have access to private property you can't ride in this stupid over governed dictatorship country.
@@The03tube great job either way. I'm getting ready to get mine out and assess it. When I drained it all the came out was less than an ounce of muddy water so I'm not very hopeful. Recently bought this machine so it is what it is.
@@The03tube I just got it back together and working. I ended up replacing all 4 bearings, output shafts new aluminum cage, rollers, and armature plate, The rollers were rusted and pitted horribly. the inside of the ring gear was also rusted. It took a lot of internal grinding, sanding and polishing to get it cleaned up. All four bearings were shot. Frankly I'm amazed the four wheel drive engaged at all right after I bought it until it locked up after I drained and filled the case. I bench tested it and the output shafts engage when 12 volts is applied. I replaced torn steering rack boots, one torn CV boot, one brake rotor due to a broken lug hole, cleaned up the brakes and will be installing new upper and lower A-arm bushings and all four ball joints. It should run like new but I have yet to get into the back end that I'm sure will need some work, PO said the wheel bearings are newish so I'm going to leave them and grease them but I have a new set if needed. Videos like yours are very helpful. I will probably make a few myself if I see any holes in what's available. Thanks again. Peace out.
Awesome job man definitely digg how you describe in your vidios 🤘🤘
Good job. Brother
Got the torque for the bolts? This vid is awesome by the way!
