Very cool. I purchased the same year after researching the 2006 is one of the best if not the best Sprinter ever made for many reasons. I also have the same wheelbase & the high top too. All the same but different color. I have spent 6 months designing my layout alone. I know that's alot of time but design is everything & you can't rush perfection. I wanted mine to be different than any other & you would be surprised what you can fit in these things if you spend the time. I have 500 watts of solar on the roof & installed a rv roof top A/C unit & max air vent up there too. I'm working on the inside now & it will have 2 cot size beds/lounge/chair combos. Key is making things multi functional. Kitchen sink, rv stove/oven, mini washer/dryer, porta pot & shower, 10 cu. ft. upright fridge/freezer & a coat closet & pantry. In a mid size this sounds impossible I know but this is what took 6 months. I tossed I don't know how many designs cause I couldn't find something that fit where I needed it to go. This is not a ez thing to pull off but I have done it finally & it's going to be pretty cool when it's finished. I went with a 20 gallon lowboy residential water heater too. All access power will heat water when the bank is charged. My only regret is not going lithium batteries. I went AGM for now but I have 800 amp hours. I couldn't see spending $5k on lithium batteries when that money could go a long way in the build. I will change them out down the road with Battle Born batteries for sure. This will lighten up things & add more room to the garage which has very limited space. Batteries & inverter/charger & 40 gallon tank under there so it's full. Just figured I'd share my story & I'm considering sharing my build on my channel I don't post on to often too. We'll see. Maybe I will see you out there next year when mine is finished. Stay safe. 😎👍

I'm about to buy same van with 63k i know nothing about it glad to read your comment that its the best sprinter I'm just a little bit worried about maintenance i heard sprinter is a cash cow.

@@pinkguitarcamper5249 WOW 63K !!! That's extremely low for a 2006. Be cautious. Look at seat wear & tear & brake pedal wear is a dead give away too. Diesel in general is more expensive is what they say. 10 quarts of oil instead of 5 like a gas. If you calculate fuel is usually cheaper especially when it comes to hauling weight of a build I'd say cheaper in the long run w/ better mpg. Drive it like the fuel pedal is like stepping on an egg is best. Don't stomp on it or it's a waste of fuel. Black smoke = waste of fuel. I'd say parts & labor in general are more expensive simple because it's a Mercedes. Germany has been building diesel motors for a long time compared to the States & have mastered it. That 5 cylinder in the 2006 & older has been known to go a million miles so people can say what they want. Reality is most people today don't have a clue when it comes to a good vehicle or not. If the repair cost more than a domestic vehicle they sell it & move on & call it junk. For example I have a 2004 VW Jetta diesel (German too) that has almost 350k miles & has had 1 transmission rebuild. If you keep oil changed in a german diesel every 5k miles or so & clean fuel & air filter clean that is pre smog stuff they run & run. Yes you will have the usual repairs like brakes & a starter or alternator for example but every vehicle does. You won't be disappointed IMHO with the Sprinter. 2006 too ?? Best of the best. It's the last of the best ever made. Had all the corks out of it & before alot of bells & whistles & puter stuff that's costly to fix. And once again before smog additions which is more stuff to break & more costs. They changed motor in 2007 & added lots of stuff to break cause the smog stuff & the 2006 ran too well. 🤣 Nothing breaks they loose money. Corruption. I share LOTS of skilled trade tips & tricks of almost 40 years of experience on my new channel documenting my build. LOTS of electrical knowledge of doing things correctly too. I'm a licensed electrician & a cdl holder so I know what diesels are good & bad. Come on over & learn some good stuff. 😎👍

I’m interested in traveling alone. I want to know everything. I’m leaving the 27th of this month. Just don’t think I want to know about rock climbing, lol. Love the footage though. I’ll leave that to you. Also my van doesn’t have a thing in it and I want to do it myself.

if you like to go off road like that. Should have gotten the Sprinter 4X4,
because you can easily get stuck on soft grounds. regardless you're doing good.
Keep it up and be safe.
