    Yet another great tutorial.
    My lawn was looking quite similar to yours not so long ago.
    First of all, I'm a total novice and rely on professional lawn care experts like yourself for guidance.
    Unfortunately as I live in northern Ireland it is really exorbitant to order lawn care products from the mainland.
    Therefore, I have came up with a " tea mixture" and it has resulted in my lawn looking like a putting green ( my neighbours words, not mine)
    I simply apply a 50/50mix of Miracle grow ever green liquid and Doff concentrated liquid seaweed applied with a garden hose attachment.
    The results after applying this are amazing, my lawn is much healthier and greener looking, and the sward has got really thicker.
    I just wanted to let you know that there is a way to rejuvenate what might seem a lost couse without breaking the bank.
    Just on a note, that is a beautiful tribute to your sister my friend, I'm actually doing the same thing here for a recently lost family member.
    Best wishes from Northern Ireland...Billy.

    Hi Shaun, hope you enjoyed your break.
    I am very grateful for your videos, they have been very helpful.
    I have been given a large bag of turf feed. That is all that is on the bag, the label has got wet and faded.
    It was from a professional lawn maintenance gardener.
    My problem is what rate to apply it.
    I dont want to waste it so i figured it cant do any harm as long as i dont apply to heavily.
    Any suggestions on allocation rate please?
    Cheers.
    Dont work too hard!

      Hi I'd 100% be asking the person what the product was or what they apply at to make sure. If you've got something like a Scott's hand spreader you could try it on setting 2 which is quite light and get a feel for it that way

    I have a question though . I also use A1 spring/summer fertlizer. I overseeded 3 weeks ago and after digging out areas of AMG was left with bare patches. I seeded those areas of course more heavily.
    Can I use the A1 fertilizer as it has 3% iron.

    Hi, love following your channel and thanks to you sharing your knowledge I had the best lawns I've ever had last season. However we in NZ are in winter now and I want to attempt to remove areas of crab grass or carpet grasses that look so out of place with fine fescue and rye grass. I'm considering flame weeding the patches and once dead scarifying to remove dead matter then covering with composting till I can renovate full lawns again in early spring. These area are so noticeable when it rains . Have you ever used propane flame weeding to remove unwanted grasses in lawns.... Thanks this lawn care seems to get a real hold and the want to improve for year to year....

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  3 месяца назад

      Hi Perry, I've not usd one but your Winter temperatures may well even be favourable although low.. I used Google and seem your winter temps can get down to 12 degrees Centigrade. In the uk we can seed at those temps and get results, so if you are going to burn it the scarify it why not pop a few seeds down anyway just under the compost, and see how it goes? It will take longer to come through but based on the temps I do feel it will work as long as no crazy heavy rain or frosts

    Day 7 since scorching my yard with roundup concrete. It is starting to brown and dry out now, but a quick second spray over again. Plan is it scarify in 2-3 weeks and then get to work.
    Is it too late in the year to start all of this and putting together a new lawn?

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  3 месяца назад +1

      If I'm honest you're gonna be seeding into summer and it needs a lot more water.. Potentially 6 times a day if it gets much hotter.. Then 2 or 3 times a week deeply without fail through summer... It's doable but just harder.. For me mid may is my cutoff however I do have one more lawn to seed myself 😊

    Do you have any recommendations for good lawns being burnt by dog pee? My Labrador Lola loved to burn the lawn with her pee! I’ve constantly used those ‘rocks’ and I swear at times they work. I also try to dilute her pee when she does wee with the hose but of course can’t watch her all the time. Just didn’t know if there’s any good products to help recover burnt patches as they’re constant so wanted something simple as I’m only 30 but have serious cardiac issues.

    • @LawnRight
      @LawnRight  3 месяца назад

      Hi you can try a bit of ketchup in with their dinner.. But like the rocks they seem or work for some dogs but not all.. Other than that grow grass in plant pots and us ethos to dig out and replace any bunrt spots on the lawn.. Dig down and remove a good few inches
