I hope you enjoy this video. I wanted to up the ante and offer both in-depth information on the product in question and total transparency for you the viewer.
When Clarins originally came to me to talk about the Double Serum inclusion in a video, I pitched the idea to them of being the first to try this new format, where the ‘sponsored’ part is the new launch, but then it continues with my long-time favourite products that the brand have no control over. A Brand Overview. I will absolutely always, and have in this case, trialled the newness for a long enough length of time to form a solid opinion on its efficacy. I have never and will never say ‘Yes’ to working with a brand on a product that I have not seen/tried/tested/approved.

What is this witchcraft? The new double serum is bloody amazing! I've used it for roughly a month. I was on the brink of seeing my GP to check hormones as I was having major jaw line cystic acne. They are gone. Skin is healed not a pimple since, scars fading and I wear a tinted spf as my foundation I'm loving my skin that much! So thrilled. I will use this forever.

I'm going to start by saying I have never commented on any you tube videos before and I watch a lot of them but only subscribed to my favourites ( you are my new fav) secondly I want to say that I love your passion and enthusiasm for this brand🥰 you are so funny aswell and make me lol🤣 I was a estee lauder girl/lady for 10 years😏 being 47 now 😜 but did a massive manoeuvre over to clarin just after Christmas 🎄🎁 went to a clarins counter with £250 and got my basics. It's the best move I have ever made for my skin😊 I'm yet to try any of the makeup and body products. I also noticed that clarins cosmetics girls on the counters are very well trained, knowledgeable, professional and generous with there free little mini samples which make you excited to try other new products from the range. So all in all it's been the best experience for me😍 I'm so glad I took the plunge 💗

My mum took me to the Clarins counter when I was a teenager, to get my first skin care products. I too have used them on and off for over 20 years. I love the tonic range too and the smell of their products always makes me smile!!!
Tried to years to get on with Clarins - tried all the skincare and the only thing I could ever use was the Water Comfort One Step Cleanser. Tried the old double serum and absolutely hated it - got a sample of the new double serum last month and tried it overnight. Woke up to a new face! Rushed out and bought the large size that day - it is that good. Use day & night. Changed my life.

Caroline Hirons I will for sure. £75 is a quite an investment but I can see it will last a while. I'm also interested in finding something for the pigmentation on my cheeks (no sun cream when I was younger) can you recommend anything from clarins? I've watched your video on your pigmentation, which was really interesting, but I'm a bit nervous to spend out on something that might not agree with my skin. I feel in dehydrated but couldn't be sure that I actually am, if you know what I mean. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x

The Double Serum is on my list for fall! I used the Clarins Alpine herbs cleansing milk throughout my pregnancy and it made my skin feel lovely with the added bonus of feeling like I was at a spa every night. I agree I have oily skin and loved it!
Just turned 40. Used to work for Clarins and used the brand since I was in my early 20s. I definitely need a good serum now! Only ever used moisturizer mostly. (Environ Super moisture +) love Clarins!

I’ve recently gone back to Clarins after about 15 years of using other brands and I’m loving their products all over again.
I also bounce back to Clarins too. So I've decided to stick with them they're great for a reason. Had some double serum samples and loved it so I'm definitely gonna get the large one. Love the instant smoothing perfecting touch with their everlasting foundation in Honey. I know it has a vibrant scent of melon but I love that in thr morning starts my day of in lovley smells. Love the orange 2in1 cleanser so refreshing.

Thanks for the information about the double serum, Caroline. I have used it twice, and through the card of Clarins products' codes where you stick the bar code of each item and when you have 13, the 14th is gifted by Clarins, you can ask to the brand for the item as expensive as it could be, that you want. Can you all imagine how many Clarins products my mum and I have emptied trough the years?? I think we filled 5 cards?? al least (we are old, ha a ha). I will allways have my Orchid oil, special in summer because...we tend to be fried by sun as well as the After sun repleneshing moisture care. Girls, after a day at the beach, take a shower and get your face trough these stuff. OMG. Allways thought why Clarins didn't contact with bloggers or youtubbers as other brands . ..They just dont need it, but they contacted now with our guru. Love you, C ( Caroline and Clarins 😉)

Appreciate that you have reviewed this now it no longer contains mineral oil - kudos to sticking to your principles; however I would appreciate more details on the ingredients, can't seem to find a list on the website, it's quite expensive, so I want to check that there's nothing in it that would affect me, so far, pomegranate seems to be one ingredient that my skin hates.

I really love Clarins products too. I'm honestly never without a bottle of: the Double Serum, the Mission Perfect Serum, the Hand and Nail Treatment Cream, an Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector & the Instant Concealer. I am so bummed they discontinued the Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream because it was, hands down, my favourite cleanser ever. Oh well, still a huge Clarins lover. It's a highly underrated brand. Love you Caroline, love the thought of my beloved tumeric in a serum. I may have to get a sample before I think about an actual purchase of the Double Serum. At almost 41 it appeals to me tremendously, however...fragrance is quite high up in the ingredient list and I'm not a fan of fragranced skin care. Particularly with fragrance so high on the list, perhaps if it were much further down I would be more forgiving. Love Clarins Lip Oil as well, especially the Honey. Again, love u Caroline, always excited when I receive notification of a new post ❤️
I received a small sample of the lip oils and had to guard it with my life after a friend tried it. I have to agree with you Clarins doesn't get the hype like some brands, yet, it's been around for years and it delivers. Now, I'm excited for this new launch. I'll be keeping my eyes open for it.

I had the old double serum. Wasnt doing much to my skin. But will put this one on my list. I started on clarins after watching yr videos. Spf, clay mask, toner and face oil were some of my repurchases.
I love clarins in general. Most of your suggestions are some of my favorites too. The pure melt cleansing gel is the bomb! All time favorite. Not foamy, turns into an oil as you rub it on dry face. You can take off with a hot cloth or water. You should try it!

Clarins was my first premium beauty brand obsession and I was only thinking earlier why I don't use more Clarins anymore- looks like I am off to the Clarins counter tomorrow to stock up on some old friends and hopefully a new love in the form of the SOS Concentrate as that sound just like what my skin is crying out for. Thanks Caroline for that very helpful video. That mirrors my experience with Clarins totally, most of all with the SOS Serum. I've got a atopic eczema in stressful times and this serums has saved my skin and that's why my somehow also my mental health so often. Love that serum. And I used the Double Serum in the past already an am now curious to look after the new version. Thanks for taking your time to go a bit deeper in the infos instead of mentioning many products!!

I am extremely dry and I use mineral oil on my skin *daily*. It doesn't break me out and trust me I have had acne. It just goes to show you how different we all are. I use Nivea blue tin on it daily, day and night, have been doing so since my teens. I find it is the best at keeping moisture in my skin, and I have tried all different cold creams (moisturizers) on my skin. I'm 45 now and use my hyaluronic acid underneath it day & night. Works like a charm! I have no wrinkles or fine lines yet thanks to this regimen. Whatever works for you, right?

Mineral oil isn't comedogenic in everyone. If it works for you fantastic. Many people get along perfectly well with mineral oil.
Marleen do you not think there could be a connection between using Nivea blue since your teens and your acne? Regardless, whatever works, keep on doing it. xx
I have used the Nivea blue tin since I was 14 (granted I'm only 26 now) as a makeup base, it gives me the perfect amount of slip on my dry to normal skin to put makeup on. I do use better quality moisturisers on before Nivea or on non-makeup days/evenings, but nothing works for me as well underneath makeup, particularly if I'm doing heavier skin makeup which would otherwise can look easily dry and cakey on me.
stepankovalucka, I have had cystic acne + dry skin as well; it is terribly hard to combat. The Nivea always soothed me and never exacerbated my condition. But as I've said before, it is *so* different for everybody. It never clogged my pores (I don't have pores to speak of on my face, thankfully). It's done me a world of good, but my story is not everybody else's story, I do want to put that out there too.

Let me tell you why...I have used Estee Lauder skin care, and pretty much their makeup with the exception of Eye Shadows, (they always lacked staying power and seemed muddied)..since I was 23 years old..I'm 60 now. The past 5 years I thought about switching to Clarins..I didn't but it always caught my eye.
However the Advanced night serums, and the majority of that line is wonderful..and I'm dying to try the newest eye serum. And the Advanced Balm has made a noticeable difference. But my dear lady..I can't resist the Clarins serum they revamped..and then I thought I gotta get it. THEN, I thought I can add it in my EL routine in the morning or night instead..Or do you think it would be better to shake up my routine and change totally for awhile..then revisit Estee Lauder...I would be afraid..The EL Ampoules made a lovely change to my skin the first week.. The advanced night serum you only need to stop using it once to see how great it actully was working. So I need advice..switch or add in the Clarins Serum.. Normally I can figure this out..but when people think I'm 50, and sometimes 47ish, yet I'm 60 and used to be a smoker and aged my skin..you gotta know I'm timid...but I really feel as if I'm doing my skin a disservice by not trying clarins? Do you think Clarins is a lot better the EL Advanced line?

Really loved this video and the bonus of some of your favs in the brand too. Would love you to do this again especially with 'mainstream ' brands (like clarins) rather than 'cult' brands which not all of us can get our hands on. Off to dig out the Clarins serum testers I was given last week which until watching this video would probably have made their way to the bottom of my draw.
I bought the Clarins Double Serum at Ulta today, but it's the old formula, even though the tester was the new formula and I asked if it was the new. Sad, but will return it and maybe order from Clarins direct to make sure I get the new formula!
Gawd i headed straight to Nordstrom and added stuff to my wishlist lol. This was very helpful Caroline thank you. The Clarins range is so wide that this helped narrow down some purchases.

I love their cleansers, for my bearded face, the Double Serum is awesome. Yes, I am one of those boys who use Clarins, and it's awesome.
I love , love clarins products. Like you I have used their products for a very long time and people often say I have beautiful skin. Also love their body products. The moisture rich lotion and Body Shaping cream are two of my favourites.
I might give Double Serum another shot now that it's CH approved! (Also, not apropos of anything, I always think of "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond when I see one of your notifications pop up. :) )

I love the lip oils, however they have all disappeared (thinking the kid). Am going to pick up the Clarins Double Serum, I had picked up lots of Tata Harper, but think this would fit well into the regime. Thanks so much for changing my thinking about taking care of the skin, I always had and had a regiment, but never had given it the time and care it needed. It is behaving so much nicer now. Imagine that, lol.

I don't usually comment but I'm loving this review on products from one particular brand. I used to love Clarins products in my 20s but as my nose become more sensitive over the years to scent & fragrance, I found their products too overwhelming & make me sneezy. Mineral oil does me no harm, hahaha, she say's! I did love the Clarins double serum, my complaint though was to get my two fingers to workat the same time to squeeze equal amounts out .... now it doesn't matter. Though I am still only using the samples, I say samples as I don't leave my local store unless I have many to try out before i buy. Greedy no, just expensive if u get it wrong. I have used Clarins for 25 years. I also used to work for them. I LOVE *shouty voice* everything! Could I narrow down my list.....possibly.....but I won't 👩❤️💋👩 Love your videos. Raspberry lip oil is my favourite.

Does this mean the Double Serum does away with multiple other steps if it is a one stop shop? Bit confused what I could leave out of my regime if I was using this? Anyone?
On a side note, also a long term lover of Clarins. When I first started working they were one of the most widely used brands at most beauticians (that I could afford at least). I used them and also Guinot for years along with regular cathiodermi facials by Guinot. Really never had any problems with my skin and think Clarins was a lovely start for young skin. Have moved away from face stuff in recent few years, only because so much other stuff has come out! Now going to try some of the bits you mention here as they were also my faves at one point. Realise you didn't do body but I love their bust treatment and firming body (cellulite) product too 👌💪

I haven't ever tried Clarins. I'm from Kentucky, USA and I don't know where to buy it or Zellens? You have me dying to try both. I use P50 thanks to you and I'm loving it!!!
Hi Caroline, You said in your video that the extra-comfort cleansing cream was discontinued but in fact you can still buy an extra-comfort anti-pollution cleansing cream from Clarins. I know that there's been a reformulation of the product a couple of years ago from the original (the one that you talked about) but is it not a very similar product ? XOXO
Loved, loved, loved this video! I worked part time for Clarin's years ago in Manchester for about 5 years and it was the most fun I had ever had on counter! Still devoted to the brand. Others come and go, but like you said, always some Clarins on the bathroom shelf 👍🏻xxx

Lóve Clarins! Totally agree on the hand cream. Also, I think they were one of the first to introduce oil as a skin product instead of cream!
Why did they stop making Blue Orchid Moisturiser??????? It was wonderful. Sometimes I add a drop of the Orchid oil to my moisturiser for old time's sake.
