Looks like I'm about to move up to Christchurch from Queenstown. I've been wondering what can be caught there. I'm used to catching snapper back in Australia. Great fish to catch. I've been catching lake locked salmon and trout in Queenstown. Also a lot of fun. DEfinitely looking forward to catching some new species in Christchurch!
cheers mate, there's some good trout fishing inland from Christchurch as well. But definitely give those spots a try. It's really cool to be able to catch such a large variety of species in Christchurch. Although fishing in winter can be a little tough.
Hey man I’m traveling from Australia to Christchurch today. If I can only go to one spot, what would it be?I should do bait fishing or lure ?Can you give me some advice?Thank you
Try surfcasting at Birdlings flat if you're pressed for time and if sea conditions are too rough there, I'd go to the Waimakariri River mouth. I'd try bait fishing if you're after a feed.
Thank you, I have been the first three spot and caught nothing. But I caught trout around Christchurch. About the tumble down bay, is it very dangerous to drive there? I know the place but I`ve heard it`s very difficult to drive. It looks the best of these 4 spots to me.
yeah the drive to Tumbledown Bay is quite a long, winding and steep gravel road. Not so easy but it's beautiful down there. Give Birdlings Flat a few more tries. It should still produce a few good fish now.
Wow mate, are you living in some alternate universe? Don't let all the conspiracy crap get to you. We happen to live in NZ as you can see in our other videos. We film all of our footage ourselves.
@@Fishingreminder According your homepage you only have less than 4000 subscribers, so hardly a monetising venture. Obviously a passion which is good Your accent is not a kiwi dialect and you have spent a lot of time recording aerial footage, so the question is ALL YOUR OWN?
@@Fishingreminder Actually I don't live in NZ anymore. But did spend the first 65 years of my life there. And from my recollection the fishing was NEVER that good unless you went 20 miles offshire to "The glory hole"
@@waynedrummond6583Don’t you know people can fly Drones now? Saying that why bother to watch this video that’s got ONLY 4K subscribers. Watch your favourite soap opera on TV 📺.
@@waynedrummond6583 Haha, you got me. I steal my aerial footage because I can't afford a drone, LOL. But honestly, publicly accusing someone of pirating footage without any proof and based on some unfounded assumptions is not cool.
Beautiful scenery! Love the colour of the sea!
Awesome work bro, just moved to Christchurch a while back and getting back into fishing, good info cheers
Thanks man, appreciate the feedback. Good luck with the fishing. Let us know how you get on.
Thanks mate very helpful 👍

All the best fishing spots are out of Christchurch
@@leithrongonui5186No way I catch plenty of fish in chch surfcasting and freshwater fishing. You just need to no how to fish.
😂😂
This vdo contains pirated footage and I doubt the presenter has gone to NZ to fish under current entry requirements.
