Yeah, technically speaking, there's a lot other members that are probably better than her at singing, but one of her greatest abilities as a singer is being able to fully embody a song's emotion. Especially during sad songs, you can really hear it in her voice.

The light lisp I consider a vocal quirk and imo it adds to most performers to have something unique to them, too many auto tune heavy instantly forgotten artists in this world. Goobs karaoke is always a treat to listen to.

Her voice is very easy listening and she is so in tune that even in a number of her covers no autotune is involved. I hear so many people enjoy Kanata's singing and I do commend her strong voice but I cannot endure an entire karaoke stream that is consistently out of tune.
From the time when Miku was projected on to a glass for her live concert to now, one day they might sell a portable mini display/stage and people can watch that at home.

When talents that are musically focused like Suisei or AZKi do solo concerts, those tend to be motion capped live, as evidenced by model clipping and occasional tech hiccups (during one AZKi concert there was a minor earthquake at the studio halfway through the performance). Doesn't make it any less impressive, the talents themselves are still singing and dancing.

Yeah, Gura mentioned a while back that she was excited to get her idol outfit for 4th fes. for that reason. I think how this choreo looks on her OG model is what Goob was referencing. And considering how much dancing and practicing they all go through before these big annual concerts, it's probably annoying to have something like her outfit obstruct the view of any of the effort that went into Gura's hip work, body rolls, etc. And considering how girly her mannerisms are in her 3D showcase, I think the energy that Bae is able to display here would've come through a lot more in Goomba too (not saying it's all in Bae's model tho bc that rat is definitely talented at schmovin' aside from the awesome quality of her model/outfit design). Shork can be pretty sassy and flirty after all, especially with her audience/chat, so that would probably come through a lot more in her dancing with choreo like this if she had something more formfitting to wear.

Seeing this, I'm reminded of the HUGE difference in the camerawork for the Holofes concerts vs the HoloEN concert in LA. Notice how during the song, the focus is on keeping the performers on screen? Sure the camera may move around or be close or distant, but the performers are almost always the ones being shown. Compare to the LA concert where they kept cutting from showing the performers to focus on people in the crowd. Which may be fine for people AT the concert, but for those of us watching on stream, we don't really care what the crowd is doing if one of the performers is, you know, performing. If/When they do another EN concert, I really hope they stress that to the cameramen.
Luckily the EN concert released a director cut that is like, Synder Cut, it drastically change all the bad, focus all on the performers. There were some side by side comparison on twitter, especially Bae's one, the different is huge and I'm glad they did that.

Even knowing how it should theoretically be done, it feels like magic.
I've never been to a Holofes, but i assume the audience see something like the tech in those Hatsune miku concert (a more refined version of the Pepper's ghost illusion). Would be nice if someone that did go to the concert could explain what they saw. On stream however they seamlessly switch between Augmented Reality version and Live version (what people at the concert see). When viewed from the side or behind or close up. They inject the 3d models into the video feed. I also think the camera operator have some screens on their camera so they can see the AR version of the footage. There's alot of innovation in both Unity and Unreal Engine that allow this kind of thing i suggest you read about this if you still want more info For the live part of the concert there's a youtube channel called philipp7pc that explains most of the projection tricks
It's a bit like filming ghosts, you could say. There are a couple of human-operated "cameras" with motion trackers on them. The camera screen shows the operator an image of the 3D stage instead of real life. Then another computer uses the viewpoint data to create AR video with the dancers and full stage painted over the crowd. The live audience sees a flat projection in the center, and what the cameras are seeing is shown on smaller side screens. The streaming audience sees more cuts from the stage cameras and only a few cuts from the cameras filming from above the seats, it's more immersive.
