fascinated by mughal rulers..unmatched dynasty...awesome architechture...looking forward to more insight into mughal period and lifestyle of that era...thanks for the video..
Thank you for posting this. I saw this complex when I was working in India. I walked through the tunnel where Jalaludin's tomb is, and the cleric sang / chanted a prayer in Arabic. Hearing that sound in the resonant stone chamber was one of my favorite memories from India. It struck me that I was hearing the same sound that people would have heard hundreds of years ago, no amplifiers or microphones. The sound was so primal, it sounded like humankind aware and fearful of the natural and supernatural world around them, but gradually learning its secrets, reaching out to a God they hoped would save them. Thinking about ti still gives me a chill. It was a truly awesome experience.
Good one....Came across this channel while working for my videos. ..Exceptional one 👌 Now watching all the videos .... Taking me back to school days and started feeling to read the history again. Great content and well presented , good job 👍👍👍
Very informative. We often see and ignore these little things that people built hunndred years ago. Sometimes I feel how broad their thinking was and how deep they think to take care small things while making big arts. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely. In Pakistan, in Bangladesh and some even in Afghanistan. Remember, the mughal territory stretched over all these regions... and Pakistan and Bangladesh were still India at the time :)
They were Mongols. The ones ruling the Persian empire accepted Islam. Persians called them Moghul and Hindustanis called them Mughal. Their architecture can be found in almost all Central Asian countries.
@@halagukhan6922 Mughal architecture is very different from Central Asian architecture. Mughal Architecture may have had a Persian basis but its still profoundly Indian with so much Rajasthani and Gujarati influence. The Mughal Emperos even became Indian genetically since many of the Emperors had Indian Rajput mothers
Nice video but I would suggest you showing more of architecture and less of narrator. If you watch great documentaries on architecture the narrator is always behind the camera.
No doubt its a good architecture with was sponsored by mughal king. If you are student the Architecture then you cannot say .. "Architecture before Mughals has hardly survived " ... Indeed they destroyed many Indian forms of Architecture. Even building built by mughal kings were done by Indian architects .. who's hands were cut down by those unhuman kings.. so mughal architecture is a "myth or moden terminology to describe time frame" indeed it is absolutely Indian/Hindu architecture customised as per order.
Actual historical fact: Mughal kings did not cut their architects' or labourers' hands after getting something constructed (no, not even in the case of Taj Mahal). That's the difference between unbiased history and bigoted myths Also, the architect of Agra Fort was Ustad Ahmad Lahori, of Humayun's Tomb was Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, of Taj Mahal was Mir Abdal Karim..just to name a few. I am glad you are calling them "Indian" architects..but I am sure you were unaware of these facts too :)
Ancient temples were much much more magnificent piece of architecture even scientist question how they were built. many mughal kings destroyed those old temples and structures, this is also part of that history
Only Aurangzeb destroyed many temples. The other Mughal Emperors didn't. Akbar had even built a few temples like Govind Dev Ji temple in Vrindavan (destroyed by Aurangzeb). Majority of the desecrations were done by Delhi Sultanate
@@dwarasamudra8889 not only mughal many other islamic rulers, destroyed hindu as well as other religion temple and monument, or converted them into there own monuments, Please check many facts around the world and use your own intelligent to understand this. Akbar was self claimed good ruler, dont believe in history written by his own court men, there were powerful Hindu rulers were there , Akbar just wanted a good tie with them and did not want any rebel, hence he was not able to destroy them, he tried starting his own religion but failed.
That last line "The architecture before Mughals hardly survived " Yeah, some of the Mughal rulers destroyed Indian temples all over India That is also one of the reasons
