That stuff has been going on for years, if you mean other channels promoting themselves. The bigger the channel is, the more likely other channels will be in the comments promoting. I can't hate them for it though; getting noticed on youtube if you're new is extremely difficult.

Actually the spam filter of my channel filters out those comments. No idea why Caseys doesn't. Probably it does filter out 90% and you only see the few that slip through.

Hi Casey and Everyone! I just got back into film making at the beginning of this year. I took film making in school, and was into it even before then. Unfortunately after school I stopped. I blamed my lack of equipment, my lack of a good editing computer. Honestly, life just happened. Other things became a priority. I lost initiative. I found Caseys movies a couple years ago. It became part of my daily routine. I loved them. They helped me get back on track and focus on what I really wanted.
Last year I started to travel. My other dream. I haven't been far. I went to Cuba, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, and Gibraltar, as well as my usual trips between Canada and the U.S. This January I got my first credit card. The new MacBook Pro came out at the same time. I remembered how Casey talked about how he maxed out his credit card to buy his first computer. So that's what I did. I bought the exact same computer that Casey did. I had used FCP in school and got pretty good at it, but over the years I had forgotten most of it. It took me 3 hours to finish the first 40 seconds of my first movie. I am getting quicker and pushing myself further. Every movie I make I learn more and it gets a little better.
My goal for this year is to get to a point where I am making a new movie every week. They will range from cars, to traveling, to story telling, and everything in between. I have a moderately interesting life and I am so excited to start traveling and film making, and I cannot wait to share them with everyone.
