    ❤️ love ❤️ thank you I enjoy spinning wool. I wish we had more eco friendly communities. I would live on one if it’s was affordable.

    Why aren't the locations of the landfills filmed disclosed?

    Too bad and maybe surprising there aren't any constructive comments here. In my opinion this video downplayed the methane part and the soil destruction part. These wonderful examples of carbon neutral and regenarative farming practices still need to be taken into use globally. We also need standards for animal welfare overseed by a third party. And what about Merino breed taken over all the heritage breeds? Haven't the humans still learned that versatility is the key for successful future? We can't simply rely on one breed, it's gonna be a recepy for disaster.
    Wool certainly is very versatile but if wool needs to reinforced for longevity it cannot be plastic. Also we need drastic change in thinking that we need fast fashion. It serves no purpose other than feeding fashion giants never filling money pockets.

      If animals are not well cared for then farmers suffer economically. You see how one farmer was testing the strength of the wool staple? That would break or tear and be rendered useless if sheep aren't given the proper nutrition and are in poor health. Breaks happen with stress from illness, lambing, etc. It is in the farmer's best interest to have healthy well cared for animals to have a viable commercial product. I think most people don't realize that, because they don't know what goes into sheep farming and are instead listening to 'animal welfare' propaganda.

    What is the position of these wool propagandists to such firms as Peter Hahn which sell Louis Sayn jumpers and cardigans for men made of mixed natural and synthetics in high proportion i. e. 50% + 50%?

    • @nicholascoleridge7992
      @nicholascoleridge7992 2 года назад +1

      The answer to your question is that pure wool is best, but a mix of wool and dreaded synthetics is preferable to 100 percent oil based synthetics.

      @@nicholascoleridge7992 But I don't understand why such UK clothing firms as FAR AFIELD sell JUMPERS and CARDIGANS made of 20% synthetic?
      PS:
      However, if a 100% cotton sock of Brand Corgi takes just one or two wears to develop holes around the heel by abrasion, such 100% cotton socks cannot be bought. Parallel would be socks of 100% wool which
      develop very soon holes - perhaps sold by New & Lingwood. So the necessity becomes obvious that COTTON and WOOL SOCKS MUST be mixed with 1O%, perhaps up to 15% synthetic to PREVENT HOLES BY ABRASION WITH THE SHOES OR BOOTS.

    yes. not too bad. But let's get real .... isn't there something quite hypocritical about the monarch speaking about ecology .... burring wool in his rose garden to proof sustainability ...? Getting in touch with colonialism in a deeply human way is a chunk of what ecology must be about and this maximum - privileged geeser is talking as if he never in his life was in trouble (cause he was not). Folks - the future grows from the past so we need something deeper than that. And yes, wool and sheep and good, intelligent farming .... more of that. Much more. ( I am a farmer) But we ain't gonna get it unless we start thinking about the mythologies that underlie western modern culture and thinking .... which brings us back to the monarch talking about circularish ways of living. What the fuck ?
