How everyone doesn't know about this band amazes me. It's a perfect cross section of popular music in this country. A country fan can find a lot to like in their catalogue, and rock as well. Extraordinary band - going on 40 years of sublime art.
Lived in Eagan, Minnesota from 88 - 96. Looking back it was a wonderful area despite the harsh winters as I never had more friends any place that I've lived. Radio station Cities 97 introduced me to the Jayhawks during that period of my life. Great band that has an awesome Minneapolis vibe about their music.
This is such a masterpiece album. The songs are so wonderful, I have to play them one over and over.... Thank you Jayhawks - hands down one of the best damn bands in America!
first time I heard this one was on the Dixie Chicks taking the long way.. Gary writing along with a whole bunch of other great guest musicians if I remember right on that album another great Minnesota and the guy from closing time Semisonic wrote and played with them to on that album. this is a nice version of them doing this one cool to see going back and revisiting some of the songs Gary wrote
One of the best bands musically, lyrically relatability, etc etc on and on...just near perfection every time for this 53 yr old. Peace ✌️ ☮️

Gary Louris is a total genius.
Amen. Amen.
yeah, what you said!
Where I come from we would say that he is a wicked genius. Mandolin is a great touch. And Karen’s vocals!
Gary’s voice and the harmonies still sounds terrific even after so many years. A band that sounds as good live as on recording.

This performance perfectly represents what’s so great about them. Just perfect.
gotta love a drummer that sings, thats the secret sauce this is folk rock!
From Spain, one of my favourite bands ever. Infinite talent, haunting harmonies and that voice that hits your heart like a truck.
They seem to defy age! Just keep sounding better!

I thought you said "one of the best damn BARDS in America" - goes without saying - and you didn't -
but I have to say - I AGREE with you - 100%
No clue how they keep cranking out such quality music, I just hope it never ends.

They always sound amazing!
Great show last night in Beverly Massachusetts..thanks Mike
Truly unbelievable talent. I try. But i'll never reach this level.
✨🌿💜🌿✨
Jayhawks!
Blue Rodeo is the only other band at this level...in this space...
Really missing that signature vocal harmony of Mark Olson. To me, that's the classic Jayhawks sound. Taking nothing away from this lineup.
Anyone else still think they should collab with Lana Del Rey?
