Polaris Slingshot Clutch Fluid Replacement

Due to some unrelated issues, I had decided to check all the fluids under the hood in my 2019 Polaris Slingshot. I have roughly 6000 miles on it in this quick video.
I was also noticing that sometimes it was hard to engage 3rd gear and reverse. I never thought much of it, but did notice it getting a little worse over time.
Upon taking my clutch fluid reservoir cap off, I found some NASTY looking fluid. This is DOT-4 Brake fluid, and its supposed to be clear. Mine looked like used motor oil AND had particles floating around. This is terrible fluid.
This also seems to be a common issue on Slingshots, and is often looked over because the manual recommends some crazy interval like 30k miles. I'll be changing mine every time I change my oil now! Its SUPER easy, and SUPER cheap!
Make sure you change the fluid a couple times if its bad, as there will still be residual fluid in the lines and where you can't get it.

Thanks for the video. I just bought a 2019 and it had trouble going into gear. The fluid was about the same color as yours with only 2200 miles on the Sling. Followed your instructions and that solved the problem. It must have sat too long before I bought it.
