Well, if any of you recognize the beginning of this video it's because I started this once upon a time nearly two years ago and posted a preview for it but I could never get through it. I don't know, maybe it's too sad and painful but, that's exactly what Alicia & Peter are, to me.
Anyway, the reason this video saw the light of day again is because I'm currently enrolled in a video editing contest and the current round is to "vid something you like, about something you dislike" and I thought of this video. I love Alicia & Peter, they're my OTP of the show, but I hate what they've been through and continue to go through. I hate that they hurt each other so often, but I love the drama and electric scenes it creates for the two of them. Never a dull moment! It's an emotional roller coaster ride that refuses to let you off. Always up and down with these two, I must be some sort of masochist to ship them as much as I do. sigh
Anyway, I haven't even totally decided yet if I'm going to use this as my entry but, it's definitely in the running. Does that idea make any sense to you guys when you watch this video? #help

Alicia: I don't know Peter... Love is a word that is so exhausted, I wish it meant something to me.

Wow, I definitely missed you vidding for The Good Wife, and I thank whatever vidding contest inspired you to finish this work. You did an amazing job with the voiceovers, loved especially the family bits and flashbacks. Gosh these two are such a pain in the ass lol and yet they are still together in the final season! Here's to more inspiration coming from season 7, don't give up on us!!!!

This is so epic!! I'm a little confused by the theme of the contest but what you said in the description makes sense and this vid is beautiful so I vote you do enter it. ;)
Don't worry, I'm a little confused by the contest challenge as well! lol. Their 3 examples were 1) show the good sides of a couple you dislike (I feel I pretty much took this idea but flipped it opposite, lol), 2) find qualities you like in a character you dislike, 3) find good traits in a villain you don't like.
So I don't think you were supposed to vid a ship you love. I think you're supposed to find a character/ship you generally hate or dislike, don't ship at all, etc, and find a way to highlight that even they have aspects you like. Most people are able to vid the angst-y side of couples they love, even if they hate the two hurting each other. Most people, when they love a ship, really do find something to like about every scene they're in together. :P So idk.

I shipped it pretty hard when Peter was on that redemption path but I feel like they kinda messed up his whole character in like s6, I believe it was, and they're making it harder and harder for me but w/e I still really love their interactions and scenes together, it's always great television when these two are in the same scene together, whether they're screaming at each other or hooking up on a campaign bus, lol.
