I am genuinely angry after watching Bernie Sanders refuse to say that campus protestors need to be focusing their energy on solutions to the situation in Gaza, not wanton destruction.

@@newmemphisminis well, Sanders did say in his statement that the protests should be non-violent and "bricks flying through windows" are unhelpful.
I'm not sure if I agree with your statement that these universities are de-facto some of the most "pro-Gaza" institutions in the US. I think it would be an oversimplification. After all the main point of most of these protests is the fact that many of these universities are investing money and resources in Israeli companies and instances that support the apartheid regime.
With that being said, my "HOLY SHIT you're actually right moment" comes from what you said about the fact that the way some of those protest ended up putting the focus on the protesters themselves instead of a concerted effort to derail the Israeli war machine. (and, let's be careful here, not all protests on all Uni have escalated or degenerated in senseless violence, and often when it did it wasn't BECAUSE of the protesters imo : we can't overlook the fact that in many instances things get out of hand because of the police violent response, right-wingers opportunists, bad actors and media demonizing the movement, etc.)
Absolutely. I also hope we can focus this movement into effectively slowing or halting Netanyahu's warmongering.
I also hope we can start examining college investments into emerging markets broadly. Israel is not their only problematic or even genocidal investment.
