Hi, I think it's so true about how some people want to get straight into medicine and go and see patients but I've always been worried about accidentally harming someone so I think the pre-clinical years and are really very beneficial, it also lets you discover what profession you would like to proceed in e.g O&G I think its really nice how you made this video because obviously there are some people who just want to go to Oxbridge because of their reputation and they don't do the right amount of research into the subject they would like to study.
Hi sorry for bothering you once again. I've got two questions to ask if that's okay :) 1. What are the best universities to study medicine? 2. I will be starting my A-Levels in September and I've decided to pick maths, further maths, physics, and chemistry. However, after further research, I found out that a lot of medical schools want Chemistry and Biology together. I'm not too keen on picking biology instead of physics as I enjoy physics much more but at the same time if I can't get into the universities that don't mind if I do physics instead of biology then I won't be able to study medicine elsewhere. Also, I'm able to do four A-Levels only if I do maths and further maths together if that wasn't the case then I would've definitely traded further maths for biology. Long story short, I would like your opinion on what I should do? Thank you and sorry once again!
Best unis - checkout this: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings/medicine I did for 4 AS and 3A2 so basically only 3 a levels. I did physics, bio and chem. But ultimately do what you'd enjoy. Decide what unis you're aiming for and see if they require bio, if not then nws. If they do, then maybe prioritise the future opportunities
It used to be common for students to do the preclinical course at Oxford or Cambridge and then transfer to one of the London medical colleges for the clinical years, giving them the option of taking a London MBBS or going back to Oxbridge for their degree. A few went to other medical schools. Is that still possible?

Can you help me please? im currently a second year medical student in Morocco and want to know if it's possible for me to pursue my medical studies in Cambridge to be a specialist after my graduation here in Morocco, and I want to know if there are any tests that I must provide to be admitted ( so I can prepare for the tests). Do I have to start all over. Thank you.
yep, I did Bio chem and geography and got an offer. as long as you have 2 sciences you are good to go, though they would prefer that you studied 3 sciences
13 A* GCSE, 3 A* A-levels. It matters to some extent but a lot of weight on predicted grades, BMAT, personal Statement and interviews so not the end of the world if GCSEs aren’t super strong. Best of luck!
Hi Shaene Do you know anyone who got into Cam medicine with only two science a levels? I do biology, chemistry and Latin and at a level (currently year 12) but I’m a bit hesitant to apply because the statistics are so low for successful applicants offering only two sciences. Any help?
@@mell7625 those are sick grades, definitely they are good enough for you to apply, GCSEs only make up a tiny proportion of your application to Cambridge, I would say they are important for you to get your foot in the door and they show your previous achievement, but more important is how well you do in the cambridge entrance exams, your personal statement and your predicted grades. There are people who have gotten into cambridge with much lower gcse grades than that, and there are also people who have a perfect record and don’t get in
@Einsteinium. you're right lol. I don't know why I said it doesnt matter. I think I forgot that if you go to a private school you will be expected to get higher A level grades, but if you go to a low performing school you are more likely to get a contextual grade offer and you can into the same course with lower grades than peers who went to top schools

Hello, sir. This is Ajir. I'm a 12th grade passed student from India. I wanna to pursue my medicine from one of the best universities like Cambridge and Oxford. I wanna to start my Preparations for BMAT. Please suggest me some best places from where I can take help in my preparation( something like tutors). Secondly please suggest me some additional exams (similar to olympiad) that you think I need to attend. Please reply 🙏. Waiting eagerly.
Hi, I've recently won a 30% scholarship to Cambridge Summer School by the Immerse Education. Even though I've won the scholarship, the price is too high for me. The duration is of 13 nights, 40+ hours of classes. Do you know Immerse Education? Can you tell me if it's worth the price for just 13 nights? Cause I could use this money to go to some other school in England, and stay for like, 2 months. Besides of that, I'm not from England, do you know if I need to complete high school there to enter some university or if it will help me if I finish High school there?
Fantastic video, many thanks. My son has just been offered a place at downing, it looks a wonderful college to study at. All the best

Hi ,
My predicted grades for A levels are A* in chemistry , maths and A in biology. Want to apply for Cambridge medicine . Is it good enough ??
Yep definitely their entry requirement is A*A*A (which you got)
I asked a coordinator of Queens college, she said that for Science courses they only need A*A*A..Yet I have A*AB....let me stay in Uganda.
@@mitochondrion2310 But they can admit even those without A stars ..It's not that everybody at Cambridge had A*s

no you need at least chemistry and 1 of bio/physics/math's .And bear in mind most applicants have 3 sciences and math's as a subject :)
