Love this!!! As to the comment about the black background and shirt, this is what I was taught to use, especially for people who are deaf/hh & visually impaired. It makes the hands easier to see. Soph, you have put so much emotion into your signing and I haven't really listened to much Adele, but your performance gave me the chills!! I am hearing btw, but work with Blind/Deaf-Blind people and am a so-so signer! xo

I love how the video moves and u are so into the music! To many ppl are quick to judge, some of them act like your not deaf! or maybe it's cuz they think your hearing cuz it's music! No one owns a language, including ASL. Everyone speaks differently--some better than others. Soph has a beautiful voice. May it never be silenced by bitter people who have an axe to grind! Congrats for the vid, I am not a native English person nor a deaf person, but I've been always interested in English sign language. Since I don't live in an English speaking country the only way to learn ASL or BSL or any standards are the onlyine video dictionaries, but I am gald, that I could recognise some signs that I learned from these videos, and songs make it easier to learn thanks and congrats again :)

I am a hearing sign language interpreter. I love to educate people about the fact there is a difference between ASL and signing in English word order. The video above it nice and I really like it, but I think the only thing wrong with it is that it's labeled (ASL version) instead of (sign language version). Otherwise, love Adele and this sign interpretation. :-)
Its because hearing people treat us different, NOT all but a majority. People are scared of what they don't know, as a result we are guarded more then a "normal" person!
Interpreting the lyrics exact as possible is not only respectful to the artist, it delievers a message the deaf haven't heard. Excellent interpretation!

I understand the Deaf/deaf community's need to protect their own, but really, if they would be more open to at least identifying those of us that truly appreciate them and their langugage and have a true desire to learn and be an active part of their community, they'd find more friends. Once I use my "student" skills, they practically turn their backs on me. That screams I'm not welcome. How do I learn?
