Sir Merrell your find is priceless in my opinion! ,apiece of History that will never forget, i myself would never sell it!, and like you i would try to find the family who it might belong too, well done sir Merrell,to me this relic is worth more then gold.
You got the life Bill cause I think you got life figured out. I enjoy your enthusiasm. You make me want to dig out my metal detector now. I enjoyed watching the artist too. You got the zest for life.
Americans should use the word rubbish more often. One of these days I would love to come to Europe for some digging. Thanks for the fun video Chill Bill!
That Roman coin find was awesome! The other coins are nice, but I think that ecclesiastic seal is marvelous. Too bad it was only half. Oh well. Maybe you'll find the other half! You'll give the farmer some cheese? Truffle cheese? ;)
If you coat the end of your pin pointer in clear epoxy it will keep it from wearing out as fast. I put 3 coats of epoxy on mine. You only need to coat the first 4 inches (10 cm) of the business end. Re-coat the tip as needed. If you coat the handle you will never be able to change the battery or push the on/off button. Use only epoxy that has no metal content. Mix some epoxy first and test it with the pin pointer for metal content. Do not use it if it interacts with the pin pointer.
Cant believe how expensive the equipment is,must be a very exciting feeling when you hear that beep go off:) Hopefully wont be to long before i get detecting, good luck to you:)
The item you had at the end....see if it pairs up to your seal matrix. It appear that the angled break on the back of the seal would pair to the angled break of the unidentifiable item. It may be the handle for the seal.
Hello Sir. I would like too take time and thank you And Nicola . I don’t get out much and the only contact to the outside world by watching RUclips and you Vids ... I wished I met you all earlier in life and todays people are so about keeping this big front on and always in a rush .. well don’t want it to sound strange or out of sorts.. I wish I could go Mudlarking myself ...how much is a permit and do you get it at city Hall?..well I guess I’ll Crack on Don’t kick the Black Dog ...he’ll take you too The Moors....lol. Keithy out...
Well you might be on to something there. I've got a different fragment from the same field which looks like the spherical end of such an amulet. It is also in bronze. I'm thinking its Roman in any event.
With a find like that first off, I'd call it a day and head to the pub. That bronze ring was a bridal ring?! The bride must have been very hefty at that.
I love watching your lot larking about in mud and dirt, but I wonder why no one seems to get themselves a head cam, so you can use 2 hands to present the pieces you find. It annoys me that you always seem to be struggling with the one hand, because you are holding the camera with the other. Get a headcam dude, you know it makes sense.

Envious of you guys in the old country with thousands and thousands of years of history under your feet! Fantastic finds!
Slant Six me too!
We have thousands of years of history, but primitive history.
Well done, Bill! Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you. The artist at the end was hypnotic.
Thanks Heidi :)

At 17.56, what my Dad would have called “Something very useful if you ever needed something like that”!
You got the life Bill cause I think you got life figured out. I enjoy your enthusiasm. You make me want to dig out my metal detector now. I enjoyed watching the artist too. You got the zest for life.
Dig that detector out!

positive wave detector... I want one...
Hey your in luck, I just found one and can get it for you at the low low cost of 1, that is only one googolplex!
Bill, That field would just lend itself to flying a drone over it and see if you can correlate your finds with old roads or structures.
Its all near an existing road and a central patch of very sandy soil.
Love the way you do these videos.
Nice fieild and some cracking finds.. well done
happy days on the Roman.. looks a very interesting field it can only get better great video see you on the next one😎
it did... hint... hint...

great video Bill. enjoyed watching it.
That last one is a Roman child's toy goose, definitely Roman.
that last find looks a little like a broken roman brooch. enjoyed the video
nice sketch!
Nice dig day! I could not understand what you said that is illegal to do with a detector at 9:50. What a nice skill being an artist!
He said it is not legal to detect on historic monuments
Thanks.
Appreciated :)
Cant believe how expensive the equipment is,must be a very exciting feeling when you hear that beep go off:)

Interesting video. Do you have a video about your deus xp settings?
… nice finds, nice field and I'm envious 😉👍🏼😊
The item you had at the end....see if it pairs up to your seal matrix. It appear that the angled break on the back of the seal would pair to the angled break of the unidentifiable item. It may be the handle for the seal.
nice idea, but its much too big... it looks like a fragment of a very big buckle. and it seems very old....
Great video! I just discovered your channel and really enjoy it! I wish I had the opportunity to find coins over 500 years old in this country. (USA)
last two videos have been awesome!
thanks... just got back with another installment in the can.
so happy for you:)
17:41 could be a piece off an old Roman fibula? They had prongs like that, but it's hard to tell.
Poor chig is home with a broken garret
Glad you made your day by a coin
chill bill I love your videos! Steph :)
the front half of a toy dinosaur??? or a lump of slag!
these videos are awesome ; definitely my favourite on you tube , they just keep on getting better . well done sir

Jealousy abounds hehe.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke...onya Bill :)

Don’t kick the Black Dog ...he’ll take you too The Moors....lol. Keithy out...
That's a great coin but just you wait, I reckon your going to find a French gold coin one day lol
nice ecclestial seal . and roman
What machine are you using
Xp deus :)
With the noise your detector is making it's no wonder the farmers dog came charging out to you. lol
Your detector sounds like sooty and sweep.
Always anxious to get your new videos. Do you use one of the standard programs on the Deus or a modified one?
Deus Fast and 4 tones. I flip between.
Awesome finds, and enjoying your entertainment talent, how are your deus settings , kind of discrimination?
I tend to use default, though I might step down the frequency and sometimes iron volume.
That thing he can't ID is Roman .... like we used to say... someone was "Roman around and lost it" 🙄
Looks like a bent musket hammer to me.
17.45 - Not sure on the item, but it looks like it would of been a double phallus?
Well you might be on to something there. I've got a different fragment from the same field which looks like the spherical end of such an amulet. It is also in bronze. I'm thinking its Roman in any event.
Remind me of Austin Powers wearing that shirt mate, Luv ya from across the pond mate.
yeah, baby, yeah!
With a find like that first off, I'd call it a day and head to the pub. That bronze ring was a bridal ring?! The bride must have been very hefty at that.
very tempting...
i cant get past the sound of that detector. haha. it sounds like a rubber duck
You are never speechless or in shock, I know you're just yanking our chain. How much is it worth?
give the farmer the hammered coin and tell him thats the only hammer you found
Is that Rab Nesbitt 😂
4.00 the detector sounds like sooty and sweep
You appear to find a disproportionate number of Napoleon Trois coins. Is there a reason why those coins exist or survive in such large numbers?
They are big bronze targets and hard to miss. Very like English pennies and half pennies that get found by the lorry load
Nice video Bill. New subscriber here. :)
Hi there
Hi sir new frien connected to u from Pinky grey

.....not atol?
💕💕WV🇺🇸
Why are some of the coins pierced?
So they could be hung on jewelry and on chains around you neck for safekeeping.
@@ChillBill1 Thanks for answer. the holes in strange places was confusing I was thinking for hanging.
