Thank you very much! I had an issue with Renalut Megane 2005,front passenger window.. Without your video I wouldn't able to solve the issue. All the videos in RUclips shows how to replace the window engine... As stated your video is emergency fix, many thanks!!!
Best video for an emergency fix, when you discover it's not the regulator but the motor. This will get your window back up while you wait for a motor part.
Great vid for the emergency fix, thx! I agree with others that the motor's ok. On mine, I've replaced the controller so far without success. For me, this points elsewhere now like wire damage or front door master switch damage, probably through water ingress. It's an old car now so things like this are going to happen. You 've probably changed yours now (ultimate fix!) but to others still suffering - GOOD LUCK!
The 'wear' on the armature winding isn't wear, it's intentionally ground off to balance it. Thanks however for the guide for getting the door panel off so I can get my window closed. Also remind me to never buy a Renault again.
It’s strange you say that because I just took my door apart as my window didn’t come back up and mine has just started the wear which you can tell it isn’t suppose to be grounded off. Mine is no where near the depth of wear on his but still starting to grind down.
had EXACTLY the same problem (and on the same door) - what can possibly cause that? The stator was clean and I saw no 'bits' inside when I dismantled. REALLY weird! You wold think the only thing to cause the stator to sustain such damage would be metal between the stator and rotor.
Sorry to hear that. Perhaps the mechanism is seized somewhere else. With the motor disassembled the glass should move freely. Give it a wiggle and perhaps some wd40 on the mechanism. Hope you get it sorted 👍
Well done, for interest if stripping down the mechanism is the only way to fix a stuck window then here’s my video fixing both the motor/regulator, gears, bearings and switch (applicable to most cars): ruclips.net/video/btQ50b5lHos/видео.html

Thanks for this. So helpful and window now fixed without a massive garage bill!
Thanks. Gave me motivation to repair my window. Fixed it in 30 mins 👍
Thanks so much, this has just helped me massively and get my passenger side window shut! 🙌🏼
still helpful in 2020 ... got my window back up thanks to you .. Star Man thanks.
Good tip - worked for me 🙂
Very helpful. The exact same thing happened to my car window. Cheers man.
Thanks so much
Thanks mate, you're a star! Just done.

Was just about to say the same

Thanks - hope the knuckles have healed!!
You have my gratitude and a like sir! Helped me though it real easy!
Your welcome! Thanks 👍
Very helpful video, thanks for that. It’s got me out of the shit this morning 👍🏻
On armature is not wear. It's marks from centering precess during manufacturing of electric motor.

What do you do if you haven't got a screw small enough to take out the motor
Had exactly same problem on same door. However taken exactly the same steps, I could not move the window up with my hands.

When the window is up that far, you can just put your hands firmly on either side of the glass and close it.
