Bec has such charm, I never get tired of watching her model for you 😊
Bec the black and white pictures look so much better. There is so much more emotion that comes across in a black and white picture
yes... we ARE your friends, and happy being so. Thanks you two.
I feel like most videos should be titled "Shooting with awesome Bec"
LOVE IT!!!! This LED lights made Bec more cute and beautiful than she is. Loved all the pics!
Thank you so much!!
Wow... Dry July has put a compelling fierceness to Bec's look. First time I watched this to learn how posing is done.
Okay so yeah I clicked on this for the gorgeous woman in a gorgeous black cut, but I stayed for the fascinating process! I became enthralled in just listening to this guy talk about his work. There is something cathartic about watching a professional just dominate at their job lol.
Thanks heaps
You are at a real advantage because you get to work with the most beautiful and talented model in all of Australia.
Bec is my favorite model.
Having this relaxed easy going atmosphere and relationship between photographer and model really helps on a shoot.
Yes 100%
"Cropping to compliment shape"... another simple but extremely useful statement... thank you...
You're very welcome!
I love the interaction between you two, it appears that you are both comfortable around each other. 👍👍
😊 thank you
Beck is stunning and your photos are amazing, Peter!
Thanks so much!
I completely agree : in B&W we just and only see Bec ... whereas color disturb the look ! I second you !!!
thank you :)
Rockin the house down with every single video !!! These are just the best .... Thank you Peter and Bec P.S. Why don't you say "cool" every once in a while? It might inspire Bec even more. 😂🤣😂
Lol :)
Peter, you say “cool” exactly the right amount. Don’t change. 🙂
Cool thanks :)
+1 ☝🏼 with this comment 👌🏼
cool cool 🫶🏼
Thanks again Peter and Bec ! Love the way Bec models. Love it when she looks fierce!
Our pleasure!
amazing results !
Thank you!
the more i see the more i'm falling of Bec.
Agree with Bec. Colour is awesome.
Great video. Entertaining & informative.
Thanks for watching
This is perfect! Just got a pair of RGB tube lights. Thanks!
Thanks have fun with them
Awesome Bec. Love your running explanations which helps me understand, thanks✌️
Happy to help!
Wow Bec rocked those sneakers! My heart is all a flutter! 😀😀😀😀😀
Great video you 2 work so well together. I'm mostly a wildlife photographer but learning Portrait work, And your videos help a lot.
Thanks Our pleasure
From watching your vids so often, I'm finding im automatically saying "cool" alot.. great vid guys thank you! I love shooting with gels occasionally too.
Thanks Scott cool :)
Just watching this inspires me to be a better creator.
Thats awesome thanks
Really nice to see how you as a Team perform in all your Videos. This one is very interesting too. Thank You!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video as always! Oh, and excellent tip on using a constant light for those sparkly shoots! Explains an awful lot… still think Bec is the top #notamodel model of all time! #TeamBec
Glad you enjoyed it thanks :)
LOVE IT!!!! I've been using continuous light for most of my portrait work!!! AMAZING
Glad you like it!
Friends all the time guy's.
Really enjoyed hearing about your rationale for cropping. Gave me a lot to think about.
Glad it was helpful, thanks
For not being a model, Bec makes a for a really good one
Also while she has a killer body, like Alexandra Daddario it's her eyes and personality that really hold you.
@@leeentertainmentchannel247 Heh, I'd love to find out how you treat the person you'd get in a relationship with, when you grow up.
hey, is she on onlyfans? plz say yes. Asking for a friend
Amazing work Peter and Becs
Thanks
Had to wait for the HD version but it was worth while.
Nice to see you guys shooting "kalllah" for a change ;-)
Definitely T-shirt material.
Are you gonna put some of those shots on your website ??
Thanks for sharing
Thanks yes Bec said I had to :)
Bec's face is fantastic.. makes me want to get my camera out
first time see colourful shooting in here~nice
Beautiful images Peter congratulations! Wow Bec very beautiful!
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, you help me learn things that would have taken me years to find on my own! Shooting tethered seems so much better in terms of possibilities to get the final result you want, I ordered myself a long cable so I can try. Thank you again so much to both of you, keep on your great work.
Thanks I hope you enjoy tethered shooting :)
great this continouse light are magic - so beautiful atmsfere mood give to us watching . I love them - so warm so magic I repeat - forgive my english but I'm sure you understood I liked them a lot . And Bec is so beautiful and nice like a brilliant Hollysood actress - and Peter is the greatest photos master .
Glad you enjoy it!
Cool, you can add contrast or just white or black where you need on your model playing with colour of light when you convert to B&W, awesome
You guys are amazing, the lighting aspects are amazing and I am learning a lot. Bec sounded more confident today. Thanks…. Regards Roland
Awesome to hear, thanks Roland
Great job Peter, nice to see LEDs put to\photo use by a pro. I use my LEDs for my videos but for the guys that like to What U C is what U get that’s the way to go. As always Beck did a fabulous job of being at the right place at the right time!
Cool, thanks
HD version way is better, worth the wait! Awesome video!
Thanks so much :)
Brilliant !
Love the talk about how constant light brings out sparkles more compared to strobes. I’ve been debating on getting these kind of led rgb tubes for gelled shoots similar to these. Thx
Lingerie with high top sneakers........amazingly cool. Another great vid
Thank you 🙌
You can never say ''cool'' too much !
Cool thanks :)
I miss "Hey Guys" ... Iconic Bec Opening lol.
It will be back :)
O wow Love the color under chin
RGB lighting is trending in Singapore right now and it is really enlightening watching this video and learning the tips from here!
Thanks :)
I love the great, naturally and kidding interacting working team you both make. So I would hate to deceive one or both of you. But dear, beautiful and so funny FRIEND Beck, I agree with Peter that YOU look so much better in BW rather in colour for the reasons Peter explained. But I also understant your own younger vision, that colour represents ore the festive universe you seem to like so much. I would say B/W is more Art, and colour, more night live reportage. Thumbs up from Belgium.
Thanks
this guy has the best job in the world
Yes :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer send a hug to Bec for me please. 😅😍
I am getting a fan of coloured light, too. Played around with color filters on one of my smaller flashes recently and it somehow turned out really cool. Well done, you too! And Bec: Don't make life for Peter so hard, don't be so good at modeling :-D
Thank you :)
I love how your heater lamp is larger than your light source.
it get cold in the studio in winter
It’s easy to be a good photographer when your subject simply don’t take bad pictures.
I know right, I use great models to make me look good :)
Awesome as always
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey Peter, that is a cool video!
Cool thanks Mat
Nicely done, thanks.
Thank you too!
Love that camera support. I bet you can make a cool one using "80/20" T-Slot material...hmmm off to home depot..
Cool idea
Great help with how to use fixed light, what dry July no one told me!
Thanks, I don't do dry any month :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer What is a dry month anyway, one has to keep hydrated!!
Very nice subtle use of the colours Peter, I was concerned that it may have gone a bit ‘Jill Greenberg’. Bec of course looks as gorgeous as ever 😘
Many thanks but yeah na I like B & W too much to go that saturated :)
Thankfully not. Sometimes we have to separate an artist's work from their politics. Jill is an artist who makes that very difficult.
How about doing a best of reel with Bec and commentary on what makes the pictures awesome ? Please for us Bec fans !!!
Great video. Love the kit. I have a pair of Westcott Ice Lights. You have to gel them for color but I have found them to be very useful. I have a pair of barn doors I use which help me focus the lights. Peter makes a good point regarding black and white. Will you two be returning to the States for any seminars? Curious about Boston or NYC.
Thanks yes when we can get out of Australia
Great video as usual! Will the pic be printed with color on a tshirt for future bec photoshoots?
Thanks na B & W :)
Pretty
I think Bec should bully Peter into doing a gel shoot in a similar manner as "Jake Hicks" style just to get him out of his comfort zone!!! :-P :-P
no Jake does gels so much better than me.
Yes, I can see the difference in B&W... color now seems more chaotic BUT, I speculate that B&W looks better because of your style.
Thanks for sharing!
Love the video as always. Bec….gorgeous and stunning. Peter, Would you consider making a video on just cropping? I would love to hear your thoughts on that.
Thanks I don't crop, I crop in camera
So cool how she goes from normal, kind of nerdy regular girl to smoking hot/unobtainable temptress and back in a fraction of a second. I guess that’s what you call “modeling.”
Yep
Damn the girl slays!
Loved this session. Such fine adjustments to the lights, Peter has a very narrow acceptance level, that’s why his photos are so great. Bec is sweet, I think and nuts as well, but please speak a little slower, miss a few words here and there and don’t get her entire comments. I Enjoy every video tremendously, put together by a happy and great team.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hello Friends! Cheers on the great video.
Thanks for watching!
Nice. It's cool video. Very cool.
Cool Thank you very much!
Technical point: red and blue are not opposites; they aren't complementary colours. That would be read and green, or blue and orange. However, what you're DOING with those lights looks damn good (of course).
Thanks Keith In my light & colour reference book from the 80's they show the complementary opposites on the colour wheel as Red and Blue, Red and Green, Green and blue, and made famous in cinema photography Teal and orange. That's what I've been using for all my fashion shoots but I much prefer black and white cos I don't have to worry about that stuff :)
Yeahhh Bec in HD
Sorry youtube stuffed our first upload
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer o know, but ty for all our lessons and yeahhh Bec have many fans
Very nice - Do you find models are ok with bright constant lighting vs flash ?
thank you master
You're welcome
This is another Bec T shirt for Peter.
no I don't wear colour :)
Mr DelMonte… he say yes :-)
Don’t listen to “us” as most of “us” are just completely jealous of what you’ve built and it comes out in the form of written anonymous petty comments. 🤣Keep up the great work! 😎
Thanks I appreciate that!
Always love watching the videos from you two 🔥🙌🏼. I have a small studio, could I achieve a similar effect using rotight neo’s with coloured gels? Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can give me 🙌🏼😎📷🔥
Thanks Stuart, yes the side of the studio doesn't matter & RGB lights do the same effect as gels :)
Hi Peter curious as to which Hasselblad camera you are using also the camera to the right at 12:33 into the video. Always a joy learning from you!
We list all the gear in the description :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thanks Peter I didn't see that.
Oh Yeah I'm her friend.. for damn sure =) and were only into the first half minute.... LOL
Very cool!
Cool thanks
Cool
thanks guys good video, off topic though ...Did you paint those apple boxes? or they come that way ?
Thanks, no they are very old, that's how I found them
Peter, give Bec more compliments, she’s a darling too….
I love these videos and always learn from them. I have a question about the image at 1337 I believe the one that you initially converted to Black and White. There appears to be a circle of some type on her left shoulder. At first I thought it was from a tear in the material and then I thought maybe it was just the shape of the shoulder bone but it looks almost like a bandage. Can you help me out?
thats just a piece of her hair
friends
Somehow I think "dry July" is going to go on longer than one month
Sorry if I’m missing the obvious, but I’m new to the channel. Are any of the gorgeous Bec’s photos from these shoots available to buy as professional prints, or they just for her Instagram and her personal use? All I can see for sale in the shop are t-shirts.
Hi Rob, I sell prints of most of my photos, please email peter@koukei.com.au for a quote :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer Thanks very much Peter. I will be in touch soon!
Dry July, uhm, I thought it was whisky tuesday😂
Haha, shooting with Beck and all the shots are good. Meanwhile in real life, I'll shoot a thousand and only get 4 good shots😏
Very interesting idea to shoot with coloured lights, only to go BW in the end.
everyday with a y in it is a drinking day :)
@@PeterCoulsonPhotographer a shame about tomorrow then
Hey.I see those lights has some barn doors built in, maybe you can do some interesting with it.You have new subscriber. Regards
Cool, thanks yes we will be doing something very soon
Great video I like to use lights panels thanks Peter for the tips
Glad to help
hello Becky please tell Peter for some people strangers are undiscovered friend :) good video
Do you find it's better to shoot with the LEDs at a higher intensity or lower for a more saturated look?
lower
Thanks Peter, I literally read that with your accent…lol.
Working with a model who nails it in so many shots is a nice problem to have
Yes I agree, Bec is an amazing model
I wonder if the heaters red color, and or heat disrupts the process in any way?
no
Could I please get a link to the lighting stands Peter is using?
It's in the description, Peter's camera stand: The brand of stand he uses has been discontinued, but this is very similar www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/4986-REG/Manfrotto_816_Super_Salon_280_Camera.html

5:30 I've come to understand an aspect of your photography ethos is that you photograph for the model. I feel the criticisms you receive are from those who compare your work to "the rule book" of photography.
Yes 100%
