When Joker Sting debuted I had my doubts. Then it grew and we got to see his funny side more. That funny side made his GM run great and funny as well.
Sting had so much charisma he went without speaking for over a year and did very little for over a year in WCW and still got legendary pops. He is truly an icon. He may not have been the best technical wrestler but he had great ring psychology, and impressed the nature boy early in his career and had a legendary rivalry.
Joker Sting was awesome! Hilarious, witty, cool - It was a great updating of the Sting character. Steve really did a great job with it!

THIS is why I loved TNA. The stories were AMAZING, the TALENT was incredible and had it not been for the Carters being so reckless and green WWE would have been the one on life support, not TNA

The crowd reaction was actually pretty awesome! Hogan really took TNA to the big league initially, before everything went downhill.

In terms of being thought of, and being recognized, I'd throw The Rock in there too, because everyone's seen the movies, looked him up, and found out he wrestles. But in terms of the wrestling, and the wrestling fans, Hogan and Austin are way ahead of him.

Seriously they shaped the WWF and made it what it is today and its because of those two millions of people from across the world took an interest in watching WWF. With all respect to The Undertaker, Hulk, Flair, Shawn, Bret,and Goldberg but the rock and stone cold were in a different league

LAte 2011-2013 spring was epic.
Bound for Glory, and Slammiversary was insane. Epic feuds as well Aries vs Hardy, Hogan vs Sting, Bully Ray vs the whole TNA roster. Then Dixie Carter took over 2013...and Dixie was on-screen character and people were sick of Dixie Carter.

Hulk Hogan is the single biggest celebrity in that business. He is the face of Pro Wrestling.
I was around in the 80's and before and Hulk as popular as he was paled in comparison to Andre The Giant.... he was world wide before PPV and all the media...
Seeing as how the popularity of wrestling peaked in the late 90s into the early 2000s I would say the Rock is the bigger superstar. The Rock and Stone Cold were the face of the business in WWF. Hogan was in WCW, which was bought out and liquidated. There is no argument to be had here.

He was heel but the retirement storyline made the fans turn him face, until Sting revealed all.

you crazy brother, when austin was out The Rock ruled from 1999 to 2002! Then he got a real career as a actor and opened the door for people like cena who doesnt deserve to be in the same ring as the rock
hogan's been retiring since 1992
Yeah i know hulk was big in the 80's but so was Stone cold in the 90's My point here is that Stone cold and the rock were world class when it came to promo's and entertainment not to mention wrestling, which arguably took WWF at that time to a whole new level. I know rick flair and hogan were also good at promo's and entertainment. at the end of the day there was soo many great wrestlers in the past and its impossible to say who was the best because they all had different perks and pitfalls
