Hi Ali I tried this with a Sim900 and Mega like you, on serial1, serial2...with or without GND, same wiring Never receive with AT the OK, have you an idea ? Is it possible you put hear code program ? Thanks
When serial monitor does not print At commands it means your Sim900 is not connected or maybe it is not receiving enough power. Try also to change baud rates.

عند قطع تيار على gsm يجب ان ضغط من جديد على زر تشغيل و اعادة رفع البرامج من جديد هل هناك حل لهذه المشكلة

Hello, yes you must put a sim card, it can be any sim card. For Arduino uno, you can connect the wires to TX and RX of Arduino uno

I don't think you can do so it should be 5v , check the ratings
Nothing is appearing on when the screen when i type AT.
Do you have a solution for that?
Your GSM sheild is not responding there should be a connection problem between it and Arduino. Check also your Baud rate
@@alim25061 I changed the baud rate to 19200 also swap the ground pin wire,it worked but still no display on serial monitor when AT is pressed
