In a way mirroring how the game is like the first "mascot horror" game in like almost half a decade to actually be original and have new concepts such as the crazy concept of making a fun game and not a 2 and half hour subliminal ad for merch.
There are also no dead kids or signs of horrible inhumane experiments. The puppets are just considered a normal thing. I almost wouldn't even consider it a horror game.

i feel like that dark part being still wholesome is SPOT ON accurate to the actual game, the fact you hear the unfriendly puppets talk in their normal goofy manner just at a darker tone of voice feels so goofy, it still is slightly wholesome despite being slightly unsettling

A unique song for a unique kind of horror game. We know that Ricky is genuinely kind, and these lyrics are well reflective of that. He and the puppets are genuinely trying to make a good impact, and even when things look dark and dangerous, they do their best to uplift you, even when they are hurting you, you can see that they mean well. I felt bad for them during the game, but felt good when I gave them the happy ending. Just like the official game's theme song, this was heartwarming, and somewhat darkly comedic. It's not often where the common enemy can put a smile on your face with such unironic charm.
Can we just notice that when the first chorus came, it was always bright, and then the second time it had less lights, showing that they were losing grasp on the light? Awesome detail!

What I like about this game in general is how Gordon is basically a grumpy version of how humans are portrayed in puppet shows. As in how they help out the puppet characters with their daily issues.

Even though it's still a horror, and action. It does has an very important message about how to not let negative things get you down in this world that we live on, and still stay positive and live a very joyful life.
The song gets 158% better when you realize that the last part, which the animation associates to the Unfriendly Neighbors, can also refer to the regular Neighbors as well. If you play that part and carefully analyze the lyrics, you will realize that it fits the Friendly Neighbors more than their Unfriendly counterparts, honestly bone chilling stuff, awesome song.
