Kodak Retina IIa, mystery film advance problem

A camera I had first seen here three and a half years ago. It has a new owner now, and he'd discovered that there were problems with overlapping frames on the film.
My suggestion was this: 'Something is wrong here, and I suspect that the tiny gear on the top of the film advance sprocket shaft has broken loose from where it is riveted on the shaft. Either that, or the pair of pinions that transfer the action from the film advance have parted company on their common shaft for the same reason.' This in fact, proved to be the case.
An unusual problem, and I don't think I have ever seen this exact fault before.
