Red Teaming: Handling New Cybersecurity Threats and Wiretapping, Video Privacy, and Related Litigation
Ransomware attackers and cybercriminals have added artificial intelligence to their toolboxes. In fact, the threat landscape has dramatically increased for small to medium-sized companies because of easy availability of Ransomware as a Service (RaaS), voice cloning, and AI assistance in creating even more convincing phishing attacks. Class actions filed under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act continue to proliferate, with the risk now at “annihilative liability” levels. Class actions and thousands of individual claims are being filed under wiretapping, video privacy, and other statutes created decades ago, which creative plaintiffs' lawyers are stretching to apply to modern-day technology. This panel will update you on current threats and practical steps you can take to shore up your cybersecurity program, comply with the SEC’s new incident reporting requirements, and protect your company from bad actors and litigation.
