- This is just one way to pack wingfoil gear while traveling by airplane. It works quite well for taking along my wingfoil gear during my travels and wingcations.
Trying to keep the weight down while still keeping the board safe from damages, and bring along as much gear as possible.
In this video there are tips and tricks to travel with wingfoil gear by airplane.
Feel free to post your own tips & tricks!
I could bring 23 kilo's, and I packed:
KT Wing Drifter board 5'4 - 56l
2 wings, 6 and 5 meter
Carbon mast
3 x frontwings
Footstraps, leash
Strap
Travelbag
Protective materials
I took along this in a normal suitcase:
fuselage
3 x rearwings
Electric pump
Some spares
I use eva flooring pads which connect like puzzle, for extra board protection
Nice one, will look in to that one aswell.
Good video. Careful leaving the T nuts in the tracks. I used to do that until one slipped out during transport and wound up puncturing through the bottom of my board. I always store them separately now when travelling. Dont forget to pack a small tube of SolarEZ or marine epoxy for emergency repairs too!
