Thanks for posting this. If we want to purchase a graphics cards (I mainly want one for photo/video editing not gaming) we'd have to purchase one that is powered by the PCI bus as the power supply it comes with does not have the cable or capacity to power a graphics card, correct?
Only 8 comments? Nothing about testing the new power supply first before you take cables wires and unscrew everything and take the original one out and put the new one in and screw it back on sid pnelll then it doesn't work when it's the memory or the cmos or the CPU etc ?
I bought 4 of these 3910s for our office and they are complete pieces of shit. I even downgraded one to Windows 10 and it's still a piece of shit. Screen goes black for a moment, won't wake up from sleep, sometimes just freezes up the keyboard and mouse and becomes unresponsive. Problems with powering on.. etc. No more Dell for us.
I am sorry to hear of your difficulties. About a month ago, I replaced my almost 9-year-old Inspiron 530 with one of these new Inspiron 3910s, and so far my experience has been fantastic: Fast bootup, stable performance, handles all of the games I like to play (not graphics-intensive), tons of storage. I love my new little 3910. Mine came configured with the i7 CPU with 16gb of RAM.
Clear, concise and easy to understand instructions!
