I have a dog friend who predicts a storm well ahead of the time it's gonna hit. The first time i watched him, he circled around asking for help. We bunkered down in a safe place. I held his chest the whole time. The poor baby! Ive never seen 60 lbs of nerves shake like that. It took several hours We got through it When it was over, we were the best pals ! He forever became very sweetly protective of me. I love watching your videos Thank you
Poor Tucker. My Zinnie Kitty is terrified of thunderstorms as well. I love when Tucker was hiding between Mr. Linda’s legs. He is just too sweet. He is so blessed to have so much support from Todd & Mom and Dad too! 🐾❤️🐾
Good you have a basement that can save you from tornado. My friend is also from Michigan and they made their basement as another place for visitors complete with furnitures, and appliances, ref, microwave and a billiard.
Linda I watch your videos very regularly. You are very talented and Tucker is wonderful ❤ . Please consider speaking up for dogs used in medical research experiments in labs. They are tied and held captive in cages against their will, vocal chords cut off, so humans can continue to torture them for life. All dogs deserve love. Let Tucker be their voice
Tucker Puck-er!! So fun! Linda, I love your videos ~ and hearing your laugh!! Always makes my day! And seeing Tucker "hiding" under "Mr. Linda" was so adorable! Thank you for all the videos you share, and making a good day a golden day!
Awww their facial expressions 0:47 priceless! I’m a storm ⛈️ junkie too, Linda, but when thunder cracks right overhead, yikes!Too funny about the chase in the basement 😆. Sweet boys! 💜💚💜💚
Not gonna lie, it always surprises me how big Todd has gotten. Also, I’ve had dogs who’re terrified of storms before - and ones who are just utterly blasé about them. Often one of each.
As I recommended to a friend, a small soundproofed safe space might work for Tucker. Her German Shepherd doesn't like storms either. A small indoor doghouse that is fully soundproofed could help with Tucker's jitters. Poor Tuck. At least he has Mr. Linda to help keep him safe from the thunder and lightning for now. My area of Michigan didn't get much of that storm. Some heavy winds, some dark clouds, and a little bit of thunder and lightning. But it was pretty much hit & miss with us, and didn't really last long at all. Some friends over near Ann Arbor got much worse from that storm front.
Our 100 lb Golden Retriever "Satchmo" isn't afraid of storms, he is just super duper protective! Anytime he hears thunder, he climbs into our laps and puts himself between us and the storm so it doesn't get us. If the storm gets too loud, he shakes to cover more surface area between the storm and us in his role as protector. The CBD chews sure do calm him down and allow him to relax from his hyper-protective shaking on top of us during a storm mode.
It's exactly like this with my two Shih Tzus! The now 10yr. old Tallulah's a nervous wreck the whole time, but almost 2yr. old Maisy......not even bothered. So I totally understand this Linda.
Tucker has the mind of both a defenseman and a goalie. You can't score if you don't have the puck! Mr Linda has shown he has skills with the puck in the past. That aggravates Tucker!
Tucker I am so with you on the storms!!! Here in Arkansas we had a tornado hit 10 miles from our home!! It's scary what they can do!! Glad y'all have a basement!! Big hugs from Belinda Greene
Years ago, I had a baby Golden. The apple of my eye, just the best! But at about age 2, he really started freaking out with rain and thunder storms. I too live in Michigan, and we can get some dozies here. I just have NO idea why things seemed to change for him then. But I can relate when he walked between his daddys legs and wouldn't move! I feel so sorry for they're terror!
My 1st 2 dogs, litter brothers, were opposites in weather. 1 hated thunder, was terrified of it. His brother loved, it. Got up in the window alcove and watched the storm. On the other hand, when a winter storm front, was coming through, the 2nd one hid for that and the 1st watched it. Though they both liked playing in the snow
Poor Tucker. I’ve had 2 dogs at different times that were petrified by thunder and loud sounds. I used to put my last doggo in the bathroom with the fan and a radio going and I’d sit with him. He was 125lbs, but he would sit in my lap with his paws around my neck. The other dog liked to hide in our powder room or under the hay in the barn. I think the other animals comforted him.❤
I wish RUclips had a heart reaction. The thumbs up is nice but it really doesn’t do these two cuties Justice! 🩷🩷 I hope one day there’s a reason these two will need a field trip to Indiana.
FYI - Some Dogz that have double coats, can have the electricity from a lightning storm give them a shock. The electricity runs thru the hollow bits of the outer coat, and can give them a light shock. So maybe Tucker ain't a big baby, he could be getting lite zaps.
That was a really loud storm in Western Wayne County, We had over an hour of thunder and lightning and at the most intense it was booming and flashing for 5 or so minutes straight. We had 4 different systems come through that day. Both my pups are gone but our Yorky mix hated loud noises while Our GSD would sit there watching the Yorky being totally judgemental. The GSD would sit out on our enclosed front porch with me as I watched the storms roll in no matter what season.
Love thease clips as we have two Goldie’s here in Melbourne Australia ,they are the absolute best canines and everything I see in yours is exactly the same in ours ,keep ‘em coming 😊
My 5-year old Labrador Retriever started being scared of thunder and high winds a year ago and it is so hard to deal with. She goes into full panic-mode.
Tucker is the oldest one who is scared of unexpected sounds, todd on the other hand is the one who's suppose to be afraid but i guess this big boy is an small boy inside.😂😂
My Golden Retriever grandpuppy feels the same way about frisbees that Tucker feels about hockey pucks. He will walk around carrying two frisbees in his mouth, unwilling to give either of them up without a fight.
I live in MI too! We weren't allowed to go outside at school bc of it 😢 but there were a few little dust devil's and like leave spinning in a circle like a small tornado 😂
Our Staffy was the same way just out of nowhere he got scared of thunder. We got him a onesie for Pitties and that seems to help and give him a covered place to hide.
I have a storm where I live and my golden retriever is only a puppy and he’s so scared of the thunder he came over to his bed and snuggled his head in the corner
Dogs' hearing is so much finer than that of humans that loud sounds must be terribly scaring and upsetting. Imagine how the sound of fireworks must hurt their ears. It's no laughing matter. I used to keep some calming medicine from the vet on hand which made the experience much less harrowing for them.
The way he was lying on the stairs, you could really see the sadness on his face🐶🥺. They both are the definition of cuteness❤️💛🐶

It was both so funny and pitiful to see the look in Todd's eyes when he knew that he was in trouble.
I can watch them all day without getting bored 😭❤

Very happy to see ye have a basement to shelter in with Todd and Tucker.

Tucker's gulp at 0:31 was cute!! Also, I think Tucker likes hockey pucks because it reminds him of playing with Mr. Linda!!!
Todd's wrinkle face is coming in nicely lol.
Love to see these two boys snuggling up to each other. Nearly made me cry ❤❤

Poor Tucker, all four of our GSD’s have been terrified of T-storms. Firecrackers as well! Hugz
Be safe you guys ❤
Our two Goldies weren't afraid until we were on a lake and a HUGE window shaking thunder clap happened both hated storms after that.
