    when you got the new turbo did you have to get custom tuning and if you did who did you go to

      No I did not change tuning specifically when I got the different charger, but I do my tuning through CTT.

    Hello great video i had a quick question for you, does this turbo whistle out the exhaust at all? Or it the majority of the whistle on the compressor side.

    • @FixedVaneDuramax
      @FixedVaneDuramax 4 года назад

      Shawn Henaman Its all on the compressor side. The exhaust whistle comes from the exhaust turbine, this turbo uses the stock turbine wheel so it is silent out of the exhaust. The Fleece cheetah is one of the only smaller drop in turbos that will whistle like that out of the exhaust.

      @@FixedVaneDuramaxim probably going to go with the ryans diesel service 64mm that has a 10 blade exhaust turbine its supposed to whistle pretty good. Id also like to say you have a beautiful truck, keep up the good work.

      Cheers I appreciate it! Let me add something in here, are you talking about the LB7 turbo or for a newer truck? I would imagine that the WoldFab variable vane turbo will have an awesome exhaust whistle as well (the variable vanes create that exhaust whistle that is so loud in LLY+ trucks.) If you have an instagram message WoldFab for a video/sound clip of one of their turbos on a newer truck. If you are indeed talking about an LB7 this is what it will sound like.

      @@FixedVaneDuramax yes i am talkin about the lb7 personally my favorite duramax engine. My plans a 64mm turbo, 75 over injectors and a lift pump in the near future.

    what numbers
    are you running boost wise

    • @FixedVaneDuramax
      @FixedVaneDuramax 3 года назад +1

      Boost numbers are similar to stock, maxing out 30-31 psi at WOT under load. Airflow is increased, pressure is maintained in this case.

    • @marceauxracing
      @marceauxracing 3 года назад

      @@FixedVaneDuramax same thing when I switched to my 65mm. 30psi is max but it makes alot more power at that number. I put meth on mine also

    • @FixedVaneDuramax
      @FixedVaneDuramax 3 года назад

      I used to, but I bought a small car to drive the majority of the time now. I can/will use it as a daily or worktruck when necessary though.
