- The images you get from the cheap lens are stunning. It can also focus closer than most 50mm lenses!

This is one of the most underrated lenses there is
I agree. This is a great lens. It was one of the first I ever adapted and set me off on a wild ride of vintage lenses. Another thing this lens does that so many others doesn't is it focuses closer then most vintage 50's of the time.
Hi,there was a second version of this lens with amazing(Multiple) circular bokeh. few people know about it and it is a real gem.
Oh really? What's the exact version that gives circular bokeh? I might look into it.
@@tomsvintageoptix it came on the super tl2s has 2 silver rings on the front best way to recognise it
I have been searching for a video like this. I was wondering about prices on eBay or if it would fit my canon 750D with an adapter. I love the images this cheap lens produces
Thank you. The prices generally go for £20-40 on ebay in good working condition. It will definitely fit on a 750d with a slim EOS to M42 adapter
I bought one today. £10. Only problem is using the T mount -EOS adapter I just missing infinity. Plus it interferes with the button which set the aperture. And finally I can't find my small alan key to adjust things.
You should be able to find a m42-eos slim adapter that allows infinity focus
For you it’s better this or canon 50mm 1.8? I see that no have so many circuits like the canon and I think the communication with the body it’s different for this (?),For you?
If you're talking about the Canon FD 50mm F1.8 then I go for the Pentacon 50mm F1.8, you can focus much closer and the build quality/handling is better
What are the considerations to take when getting this lens in terms of adaptors? I've got a 750D camera, cropped sensor. Do I just need a m42-eos adapter?
Yes you do, make sure it's slim with no glass in the adapter. Make sure to switch to 'M' to get full control of the aperture.
@@tomsvintageoptix got it! That's grand thank you 😉
One more thing, while using the lens, do DSLR's usually detect the lens settings? As in, if I change the aperture on the lens, will the camera detect the value?
@@SlapbackGOD Use aperture-mode and the camera choses the best shuttertime automatically.
@@jannuijten yes, I've had this lens for a year now and I'm used to it already. Its just fantastic
Hii its a Radioactive lens ?
As far as I know, it's not radioactive
@@tomsvintageoptix thank u 😊👍🏼
pancolar is better thn this
It's more expensive than this. I'm basing it on price
Pancolar is around $200 and it isn't that much better
Better but this one is good lens
