Your first mistake is to choose wrong product from wrong supplier. The second mistake you did order more pieces I recommend to start with 3-4 products and less quantity. In this way you will loose less and one of your product will rank, then you can sell the most selling product. Another mistake you have done is to optomize add cost every 2-3 days start from lower budget get impression on your listing then start increasing day by day to see the results. The last mistake you did, selecting wrong product ( Off season product).
I do, I know. I know I would have saved a ton of money by not winging it the way I did. I wasn't paid or anything-- I genuinely like what Travis does and wanted to share my story-- I happen to live in LA as well so it worked out. 🤷♀
Selling on these platforms can be a real suicide run. First, web search any prospective product you want to sell. If you see more than a few dealers selling it, move on to the next product you'd like to sell. Once you see several competitors you're going to get hit with a price war at some point. Product should be unique to you. Any off the shelf item you sell can also be sold by others. Pay for clicks can bleed you out. Start out at a low amount then adjust as necessary. Most clicks you get are people just window shopping, just bored as they sit in traffic or passing time.
Her first big mistake, with all due respect, was getting involved in something she knew nothing about. You don't really need Travis's course to figure that one out.
This video should have been declared as advertising in the first place. And just to add to the error’s list. Buying this big quantity of untested products and then have them stored by Amazon from the beginning. (At least no other information in this video).
Being a shill for someone else's set of courses is not the way to go thru life. Amazon, so far as 3rd party sellers is going down the tubes because of increasing fees in all areas of Amazon, the copying of 3rd party sellers products by Amazon, then undercutting the sellers by a big percent with Amazon directly competing with 3rd party sellers, more inventory rules/fees/punishments.....was looking to do 3rd party sales.....but' it's now a race to the bottom, and the FTC looking into Amazon's business practices......No thanks. I'll build up my own business for the long term, not for some short sighted money making gamble......
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. While it's true that Amazon FBA isn’t without its challenges, including increasing fees, competition, and evolving policies. some sellers do find success by carefully selecting niches, managing costs, and staying adaptable. It’s definitely not a perfect system but it still works.
This video appears to be an elaborate fiction to promote Travis Marziani. Sadly it will likely do the opposite and drive people away from him. The video is wrong in so many ways for anyone who has started a small business. However the most obvious fabrication are the figures on screen. Those figures do correspond normally with the verbal narrative and I wasn't giving it much attention. However at 18:18 the speaker says she made a profit in month 10 when the figures show a loss. If you add the numbers you will see it was a loss. To make it worse, the numbers on the screen don't add up to the total on the screen. I wondered if the other totals were correct and checked months 8 and 9 too. Those figures don't add up either. Nine is not off much but in month 8 the verbal narration claims a small loss when the figures show a small profit. If this were a real case study then one obvious causes of the bankruptcy is the lack of attention to detail. Either to the actual financials or to the quality of video production.
Selling Chinese products is not a real business model. The Chinese manufacturers can sell directly to consumers on Amazon, US sellers have no advantage.
It’s still cheap compared to owning or leasing a brick & mortar location or buying a franchise. You can lose $26,000 your first month not counting start up costs

I watched Travis videos, and it sounds like she's reselling her brand on obvious Indian items. Also, aside from promoting his brand, I'm confused why would Travis promote an example of loss and termination connected to his training courses? She stated that she quit because she couldn't afford to continue losing money. Not a good look.
She lost money because she tried to start a business without having the required knowledge to do so. She over-estimated her own abilities and it cost her a substantial amount of money. The point she is making (and the reason this is on Travis' channel) is that if you want to start a business like this, you better learn how to do it properly before you lose money like she did.
