This is just so cooool!!!! Love it! I definitely want to try making this one. I know what you mean about working this sort of thing out taking ages. Years ago I made my hubby a special birthday card after he'd been out with friends in their boats on the river and he fell in and lost his wellie. I wanted to make a card with a lever at the side which would make the layers of waves move from side to side, and the little boat go up and down. Eventually I went on a GCSE physics website and found a piece about levers and reciprocating arms! (The lengths we go to...) The inside of the card had a pop-up adapted from a lotus flower into a multi-layered splash, and coming from the centre was an acetate strip with the wellie on it. The sentiment was "On your birthday..." (on the front), "Make a big splash" (on the inside).
My hubby was banned from my studio for weeks. I even had to keep the contents of the bin separate because he might have guessed what I was making from the absolutely loads of rubbish I created, trying to get this right!
Happily, he absolutely loved the card and still has it.

This is absolutely brilliant! And my very first thought was "this would be a great Xmas card!!! I can see it with the title of a favourite Xmas song on the record and the front decorated to match (first thought was Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas"...my eldest sister's fave lol)
OMGosh I just thought about those little musical bits you can get for in cards ...*is gone nutty on ideas* lol)

I've made one today and it's so stinking cute 🥰. I decorated the top of the record player as well before I glued it into the card.
You did such a marvelous job!! And the instructions are really good with the video to help with it. The recipient will be so pleased when they get it. I can imagine their face already, turning the card every which way to try to figure out how it works.

Amazing! I had to have it, got it, tried to make it and it was slightly off. It was off by about a 1/4". I'm usually pretty good at following instructions. Yes, my printer was on letter, actual size...i did have to make it landscape (was i wrong to do landscape? ) would appreciate any tips or tricks. Thank you for your amazing talent! 😊
I didn't change it to landscape not sure if that made a difference 🤔

Love it is the exact card size 81/2 x 11 please I cut it and it seam to small help

@@SarahTrebilcock I am trying so hard to make the record player having a little hic up the actual size of the card base if I do it 81/2 x 11 it seems to small the record player doesn’t fit inside sorry to be a pain

The actual card size is what I need please 81/2 x 11 it to small for the record player
OK, at 3.56 minutes in, I talk about the card baseline it has to be 6 inches wide the height is not as important as long as all the mechanisms fit inside.
You can use A4 folded in half but 8.5 x 11 is too small
Use 12 x 12 cut down the height so 12 x 6 or 12 x 5 folded in half

Hi Sarah, I attempted to purchase this through Ko-fi, and payed twice through PayPal / Ideal, but unfortunately after payment the rerouting to the website failed, such that I could not download the PDF.
