The Rockwell T2 and 6S safety razors are high-quality shaving tools designed for a smooth and close shave. The T2 model features a durable, chrome-plated brass handle, while the 6S model has a sleek stainless steel handle. Both razors have a patented adjustable plate system that allows users to customize the blade angle and pressure, making it suitable for different hair types and skin sensitivities. The T2 razor has a butterfly head design, which makes it easy to change the blades and clean. The 6S safety razor is a three piece safety razor. The Rockwell razors are made of premium materials and built to last, providing a long-lasting, cost-effective alternative to disposable razors. They are also a more environmentally friendly option as they reduce the amount of plastic waste. These razors come with a comprehensive user manual and a set of Rockwell blades to get you started. Overall, the Rockwell T2 and 6S safety razors are a great choice for those looking for a high-quality, customizable shaving experience.

Are you excited?
Yes
You know
Not so much exited, but very interested. I'd probably jump on it when it's available, but I just ordered a RazoRock SuperSlant - which is cheaper, but still a bit pricey.
However I AM exited about blow-up unicorns!
@@ChrisLael nothing like inflatable mythological creatures
Not really. Had this come out before I got the Rex Ambassador, I might had trouble making a choice.
I'm brand spanking new to wet shaving. I loved the review of the 6S so I stared there. I love the 6S so much + this video I now have a T2 stainless on the way. I do enjoy your videos and hope you choose to continue this channel. All the best.
Thank you! I have fun making them for sure
An all stainless construction was what Rockwell were trying to do with the original model T. But at the time, the technology (or lack thereof) and the price made it untenable. It’s cool to see they finally nailed it.
Science! It’s very cool
While it may sound like wise a$$ hind sight wisdom, after having used the mim process so successfully for the 6s. I wonder why they didn't go MIM earlier on the model T itself. I was part of the first 6S buyer too and recollect hwo they sent out first plates, failed, redesigned and finally after several iterations got it so perfect - irs not stepped down from its popularity position even today. The T2 perfectly compliments yhe 6s and hopefully this would now nail it in that position. As a celebration I might pull out my Kickstarter Model T in chrome for a shave ! Good luck to bunch of dedicated guys behind such an innovative company
Really digging your video editing style here. And yes, the razor is a delight.
Great stuff! Cheers!
Thanks Zach!
lots of great details and lots to learn from Greg. regards dapper shaves
@GregTardif a great review with amazing storytelling. I love The Rockwell 6S and am saving up for The Rockwell T2 SS.
These a 97% chance I will not buy the Rockwell T2 stainless razor. Love your videos Greg
So there’s still a chance!!
The T2 didn't do it for me but maybe the stainless version will impress. Thanks for the excellent video. The finish of the razor looks amazing and you captured it perfectly!
Thanks Eric, if the T2 didn't work for you before I would probably say that this will be very similar.
Why is that?
I can’t really tell what the difference is between the 2. Keep in mind I haven’t used either.
@@DrummaBoy202 I wasn't sure if being made of a heavier metal would improve the shave for me. There is a difference between a 6C and a 6S for example.
Can you elaborate? I'm not completely happy with my 6C, and I'm thinking of exchanging it for the T2. (there's too much "play" in the parts of the 6C IMHO, allowing the blade to be misaligned. The blade can be wiggled around too much on the cap posts, AND similarly, the base plate can also be wiggled around. I think the posts need to have a larger diameter)
@@gregsullivan7408 the T2 has a larger head that I find unwieldy and I'm also not a fan of the adjustment range. I assume I'm in the minority since it seems like most people like it. As with all things shaving, YMMV. I hope you like it if you get one.
A STAINLESS STEEL T2?! WOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW. Also, you're back to "Bond, Greg Bond" status w/o the moustache! Awesome video, man! I wasn't crazy about the finish on the 6S so I'm worried about it on the T2 and I'd probably have to send it off to get re-plated again, perhaps. Who knows, but this seems nice! 😁😁😁
Ha ha! Thanks. I know the finish can be decisive. They may have more offerings though. Not all has been revealed yet
it sure looks like a solid and beautiful razor. regards dapper shaves
Great vid!
Please just call them the "six ess" and the "tee two ess" though 😂
Rockwell looks like it works well.
Price point is not bad.
Happy with my 6S. I am ok to switch the plate if needed. Which I hardly ever do. But I like your videos.
Cool beans and thank you
Short and sweet, Brother. Great video
Thanks
I have the 6S and the 6C. I find the chrome one slides so well that it almost feels like it’s a different razor. (In a good way ). I also have the T2 (non SS). I’m curious- why would the T2 give you a problem under your nose but not the T2 SS? The geometry is the same. Thanks for the great videos and info. Ted.
Nice piece of kit. Based on the Gillette Fatboy I'm guessing.
I'm using the Merkur futur (set on '1'). Nice shaver, but lacks grip on the handle. Unlike this one, with the nice knurled grip.
you’re onto something about fatboy design. looks gorgeous, regards dapper shaves
The 6S is a nice razor, but changing plates in between passes is a pain. Part of me is thinking about getting this. However, the rest of me is really enjoying my Rex Konsul XL, which I purchased about 6 months ago. If I hadn’t bought that, I would definitely order the T2 stainless.
I own the 6c was thinking of getting a 6s but ended up with the t2 instead
I didn’t like Model T -2 as well as others some how I don’t find good balance on it I hope you like it Greg have a happy shaving
Thanks buddy for sharing! Just makes sense why there are so many choices out there
Nice informative video Greg. Appears to be a winning combination. Have a great weekend.
Thanks, you too!
Gotta say i'm underwhelmed. I've found the T2 to be too bulky especially the head both in height and width so that in a more premium metal is just meh, I'll stick to my Slim Adjustable
That’s cool! I do like my slim a lot too. From what Ben at Soap Thing mentioned, this was Rockwell’s preferred metal from the start of the project
Great one buddy! I have one on the mall too.. can't wait!
Oh boy!!!!
I am ready to take the plunge and get my first adjustable! Rockwell T2S or Rex Ambassador (or Konsul)?
I’d go T2ss over ambassador and konsul over T2ss
I have both the Rex Ambassador and Rockwell T2, and a bunch of others I don’t use much anymore.
Man it’s close between the two. But honestly I have been reaching for my T2 more and more. I really like it. Don’t get me wrong, the Ambassador is awesome. But I really like the TTO. And once I figured out my optimal setting and blade combo, I get some great shaves.
Now I have to figure out if I want to drop the cash on the T2SS.
I did end up ordering this as my first adjustable thanks to Greg’s referral code. Really excited for it!
How does the T2s compare to the Parker Variant? In your Safety Razor Battle Royal: Four Adjustable Safety Razors but Only One Winner! video you mentioned the T2 came in 3rd to the Parker Variant wondering if the T2s fixed some issues. In this video you address the saving under the nose issue, but I think there were some others.
Matches the cost of the Rex Ambassador but with TTO function! Sounds awesome.
I went back to use my T2. I remember not having good luck with my third passes using it before. I had nicked myself several times on the third (atg) pass on my neck. Tonight I had a great first two passes with it but the third pass proved to be troublesome again. I think I figured it out though. It is SOOO smooth that on lower settings I sometimes feel like I’ve lost the angle and I want to press hard or adjust it up again. That’s what I did. I pressed too hard and eventually turned it up from between 1 and 2 to 3. Then I irritated my neck a little bit. Over all the result was fantastic over all. Next I will just hold at the lower setting for my final pass against the grain and see if that improves the comfort like I think it will. If so, the stainless version is going on my list. Oh yeah, I used Stirling’s Electric Sheep to lather with and went outside right afterwards. Not a single mosquito came near me! Awesome.
Do you know when the platinum razor will be released?
Is the range of adjustment about equal to the 6S but with more fine tuning in between the numbers or is it more aggressive on setting 6 in the T2S than the 6S?
The way that hat looks with the Hawaiian shirt is pretty t-t-t-tight.
Yeah. So Rockwell describes each setting as r1-r6 like the plates.
Nice product presentation 👍 Greg! Have a great weekend 😊
Thank you! You too
Greg. I just had my first shave w the T2. Good razor. Got what I expected.
Question. You have had your T2 for at least a year and a half. How does the lettering hold up? The arrow is almost impossible to see while your shaving and I’m concerned that a toothbrush cleaning might take the numbers/arrow smooth off the thing. Interested in how yours is holding up. Thx.
Question good sir how could the material that it's made out of affect its ability to get up under your nose? I mean the head is still the same size, correct?
You’re right. I could be a better shaver. Also, comfort level. The extra weight and finish helps too
No his head changed when the mustache was removed 😜😝
Lol
you grew your mustache back that’s awesome
Wait for it…
I was starting to wonder if the mustache was coming off at some point. Been excited for this launch. It’s like getting a stainless steel fat boy. Great review
Haha thanks Mike! My wife said it smelled bad so it was time to go lol
I just ordered today. I had the T2 before but returned it because I really wanted a Stainless steel adjustable. Well now rockwell delivered. Really looking forward to using this razor. Watched your review again. Love the hat in the snow scene. 😂
@@MichaelSchinella lol congratulations Mike. I hope you enjoy it. I love that hat!!
I always have trouble under the nose, and any TTO style razor doesn't work for me, having rather bulky heads. I have to pull straight down and if I pull up against the grain I will always nick myself. Thin heads like on the old Gillette tech works well, and the PAA DOC razors are good also. I'm considering growing a beard for a change so it would be moot in that regard.
The Gillette slim has a nice profile for under nose shaving (at least to me)
So they finally fixed the tolerance of the T2 by going full stainless steel? The prices are the same like the Taiga, Rex, Muramasa but competition is starting.
Oh no - what tolerance problem does the T2 have?
@@gregsullivan7408 the first version had problems.
That was nice! You look good without the caterpillar.
Thanks!
@@GregTardif (not that I didn't like the caterpillar, you wear it well)

Im new to using this type of shaver, bought a Rockwell 2C to try but I am all in. REady to just go to T2, do I wait for the T2s, is there a real difference?? TY.
It’s a better material. Less maintenance. Up to you though which way. $100 difference
Do you know when the Stainless Steel (T2s) is coming out?? TY.
Should be 31st
Hmm.. looks nice! This or the rex ambassador?
This over ambassador. Konsul over T2ss
Hey guys…..just wait a few months to buy your T2 SS. I bought mine last year during Rockwell’s BLACK FRIDAY SALE….following Thanksgiving. I found a 15% discount code on Blade and Badger and combined it on the Rockwell company site….and was able to get my T2 SS plus the SS stand….for $147…..plus sales tax but free shipping. That’s about 50% off and a GREAT deal. So start saving up….and make your strike on Black Friday. As for the build and shave quality….it is just outstanding. I have a 6C, 6S, and T2….but this T2 SS is now my daily driver. It is just so comfortable and easy to use….with great shaves….no matter which blade I use. BTW….my blades are Feather, Wizamet, Nacet, and Astra SP…..along with Proraso and TOBS shaving cream.
Dang! That looks cool brother. Hello Unicorn! Don’t play with the razor blades or you will pop!
Lol
A most excellent video. Studied Film in college? Well done, thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I did not. But I do learn a lot about making fun videos when I get the time. Glad you enjoyed it
anyone know how this would compare to my Gillette Slim Adjustable? cause I quite like that - even my Parker adjustable
Do you guys know if there is a a guide for disassembling the T2? I’m afraid I need to tighten the springs
I’d reach out to them directly. They have a lifetime guarantee on their razors (I believe)
Nice one Greg. Looks like they finally got it figured out Eh? Good stuff.
Don’t sleep on the Canadians haha
@@GregTardif this is true, some fantastic razors come out of the frozen North!
ooh ooh, Mr Tardif, Mr Tardif…🤚🏼👋🏻. How do you feel about this razor now? T2S worth it or not? I struggle with the cap overhang (opposite of blade tab overhang).. looks like it’s a bit tooooo wide🤷🏼♂️
I never had a problem with the cap overhang. I don’t have a problem with blade tab overhang. It’s a great shaver
@@GregTardif that helps Greg🙏🏼
It is a beauty !
May I make a suggestion-Let your hair grow for a week, then review.
It’s like watching someone review a car detailing soap on a car that’s already pristine clean-what’s the point?
The only dude here on RUclips that seems to give these razors a run for their money is that gentleman socal. And he seems to need just one day of stuble and those razors love a challenge.
Let that facial grow some. We want to hear that stainless steel blade be challenged. We can wait. We don’t mind.
👍

What a shame Greg it looked great, bet you miss it! Hope it will be back again soon.
That is really nice looking.
I think it looks great in this finish over the shiny.
@@GregTardif me too. I've always liked the flat finishes.
Are the butterfly doors still payed hourly ?
Lol what?
In your best adjustable safety razor video, you had mentioned you didn’t like the way the TTO / butterfly doors opened. You said they opened like they were being paid hourly 😂😂
@@AngelbertGonzalez lol omg! Yes. They still take their damn time. But in the industrial grey it reminds me of like a space shuttle opening a cargo bay or something
OK Greg, decision time. You've shaved with the T2SS and the Rex Ambassador. How would you rate them? Pluses and minuses.
🤷♂️ I gave the ambassador away. Too aggressive for me for every day shaving. The T2 has more head overhang on the blade but that doesn’t bother me

What’s better Rockwell T2 ss or Rex ambassador ?
Do you want a more aggressive or less aggressive razor?
@@GregTardif I have sensitive skin , so I need a less aggressive razor
There’s conflicting information on sensitive means go mild. I like more aggressive razors for my sensitive skin. But the T2 should be a good fit for mild at 1 and more aggressive as you move up. The ambassador is a great razor but starts out a lot more efficient than the T2
If I had the Money I would buy it right now 🎉😅

Ok a little offended (on your behalf as well as a couple of the other shave channels that I frequent). I found a 15% off code on another guys channel for Rockwell and it worked for this razor!!!). While I like Rockwell, I can’t understand why RUclipsrs like you, Mark, Sinatra, and I think his name is Chris, didn’t get the same 15% off codes for your viewers, but Rockwell used all of your quotes on their website to advertise for their Razor🤷🏼♂️. The guy I came across doesn’t have a quote🤦🏻♂️. Just seems like they should have allowed that level of discount for your channels as well. Again, I’m offended for you guys. Seems disrespectful to you and your audiences. (I won’t share the channel or the code, because I don’t know if it impacts you)
I think I know who you’re talking about. Heard about it recently too. Not sure why either. May be they are trying to break further into his market 🤷♂️ I’m just a dude shaving lol
@@GregTardif sounds like you do know the channel and that is what I assumed as well. Don’t get me wrong, I liked his review too, but I literally came across his channel on accident. Speaking for me, I feel Rockwell should have extended the offer for your channels. (Maybe they will now🤣) I bet I have directed on the low end, 15-20 people to Rockwell for their 6c or 6s in the past 6mos. I learned about that razor from you guys. So they just keep getting business from your channels (assuming others are like me), and just like every other company, put the shinier bait out to people they haven’t got on the hook yet🤦🏻♂️. I can’t stand that sort of mentality. Take care of your customers who helped get you where you are, but then again, it’s always the Love of money that drives this sort of poor decision making. Just my opinion (but felt passionate enough to share it) ok end of rant (maybe🤷🏼♂️😁)
Thanks for sharing. He’s a great guy. Growing up with a sales background it was always said that it’s cheaper to keep a customer than get a new one. This pretty much sums that up to a T.
@@GregTardif no problem and couldn’t agree more. It’s not his fault at all.. I really liked his reviews and even subscribed. He will do really well.. again, it’s not about him or his audience, to me it’s about you and your audiences… I know you understand🙏🏼💪🏼. Just hated it for you and your base.
@@GregTardif Ohio Shaves (Chris?) emailed them today on my complaint and Rockwell replied back to him and gave him a 15% discount code to offer his audience (and lowered the other channels to 10%, which that was not what I was frustrated by🤦🏻♂️) at least his audience and hopefully the rest of your audiences will get a bigger discount🤷🏼♂️
