The businessman didn’t get any enjoyment letting employees go. He said the employee had been performing poorly and had been given numerous chances to improve and a few chances were he just didn’t do what he was told. Companies often fire people who do this. He even gave him the chance to just leave to save face. What he did say is he finds letting people go annoying, but it’s the job he was assigned so he does it. I think it was assigned to him because he does just do it and takes no flack from the those he lets go, because he doesn’t care. He does seem to find comfort in rules, and his personality makes me think he may be psychotic, definitely not very empathetic at least. He seems aware of his tendencies but works with them and seems comfortable with who he is. I wouldn’t call him evil, but he seems scary to cross and willing to do what others won’t. Definitely an interesting character to watch. Especially with him clashing against Being X, who while obviously a “higher” being, is really petty and seems to want to make an example out of him for talking back. I’m routing for Tanya in that clash.
so in the LN Tanya actualy went out of their way to help the person that he later laid off several times to prevent him from getting fired. Which the person ignored. Like others have already elaborated on, the guy MC fired was a really bad employee and it's emphasised how many chances they blew before getting fired, IIRC they were a drug user as well.
A lot of people relate to Tanya because all of the thing she face is just unfair. She just want to live in peace, and her way of doing that is by abiding to rules. The empire didn't start a war. Entente Federation did, just because the politician is weak and need to bolster support by acting tough (invading the neighbors on disputed territory). Tanya want to retreat, denied. Tanya followed order, get awarded and sent to another job. Even the incident in military academy. Those trainees underestimate and disobey her. Because they think she is a child and cant force discipline. Is it wrong for Tanya to punish them, according to military rules?
I've been around for a while so I get the whole discussion with chat thing. That's fine. Though again, sometimes it feels more like 'Psychologist reacts to chat watching anime' rather than 'reacts to anime' when the balance is tipped too much. I enjoy the discussions throughout the show regarding the anime but not when you're reading chat most of the time while it's playing. Yes, important things will be brought up again but those discussion points feel missed. Or when you do discuss a topic, it's based off a wrong perspective. I'd just like to input that if there are a lot of comments you'd like to address. Just pause the anime. Anyway, wanted to get that off my chest. I understand if that's not how you prefer to do things.
In the light novel being x isnt all-powerful and hes multiple beings. The anime (at least season 1) is very inaccurate to the source material, and does so in a way that tells a distinct story.
@@JoeMama-dk6xr I just re-read the first LN and Tanya thinks that the being that grants the miracle with the type 95 is not Being X but a nicer coworker.
That's it. This is my number 1 reaction video ever 😂 the episode just started and as he tried to analyze a character. He already described the main character's entire personality and trait. Then he talks about what if situations about the god being petty punish the main character which is exactly spotted on to the details with being an orphan and the main character having strong power just so that the country can force the main country to the front field in the war what's more he further suggest that god can be even more petty by forcing the main character to beg for help each time the main character use his power which funny he asked the question in ep 1 reaction as to why they need to pray and he exactly answer those questions. Being X being exceptionally petty by forcing the main character to pray each time he tries to use strong magic. And then he talks about how he is willing to break some convention in trying to train rookie soldiers which are funny enough the main character will do that in training the new squad in the future which the main character permanent battalion full of mages. This is definitely my fav reaction video ever🤣
Now you see why that colonel was so shocked that Tanya was sent to the Rhine front, he's seen what ticking bomb she is. Oh you're going to have fun with some of the next episodes, episode 3 continues the back story then episode 4 picks up where episode 1 left off,
For context: The pre-Tanya saleryman didn't decide to fire that other man, he was just the one given the duty to tell him that he's fired, because the bosses couldn't be bothered to do it themselves. There is a considerable difference in Being X between the source and the anime. In the anime it really looks like Being X is just really petty and doing what it does out of being pissed at not-yet-Tanya. In the source, rather than the singular Being X, there is a group of divine beings. And for them the waning faith of Humanity is a real problem, so they picked the not-yet-Tanya - as a parade example of a non-believer - as the subject of some experiments, with the goal of making him a believer. Because if they can find a way to make someone who'd even argue with god to his face into a true believer, that way is going to work on the vast majority of mankind for sure and will solve their problem. As for Tanya's psycho-trip... the anime skips some very important info here too. Mages can alter their own body chemistry with spells. Here Tanya was very close to panicking, to she used a spell to suppress her fear. That spell works somewhat similar to drugs. Because of her rising panic, she overdid the spell and essentially became high as a kite by accident. It certainly had the desired effect of suppressing her fear and physical pain, but also made her go into something akin to a berserker rage. Also the propaganda photos of Tanya look genuinely cute in the nobel, unlike this abomination in the anime. :P
Just found your channel recently, honestly great stuff! Started watching this series via the playlist and notice the order is out of wack, thought you should know at it goes like episode 1 then 5 then 10 then 4, oof
Paused at 19:15. Your normal take still applies but in this case; the anime itself yelled this at you in episode 1. I know because you brought it up then. Questioning the use of prayer and personality traits of the MC. When I watched this series years ago for the first time and was binging it. I caught that the jerk was Tanya and when God was introduced in the moment of death I connected the dots just from the nature of storys. Personally I side with Tanya more than Entity X. Only because Entity X is acting like a spoiled child to me. But overall I would treat the situation different... more of a Cid approach of just trying to live a norm life and not stand out.
I love the idea of Tanya fighting God in a hilarious way because the character is a smart ass and a know it all but expects to out smart and Omniversal and all powerful entity. Even if that explosion disabled Tanya she would have made a "miraculous" recovery. 🤣
It is scary connection made from the anime. That in order to become religious you must be in bad place in your life. Which is a sterotype in jail that the religious folk who recruit choose places like those in order to recruit commonly. Then the anime's god goes on to place you in a bad predictament to force you to become religious and even will force you in otherways obviously. Not only that but stats show ever since increase in livelihood, religiousness has gone down significantly
I wouldn't say, I relate to tanya per se. But compared to isekai harem protagonist nr 99 she is very relatable, despite her apparent lack of any empathy. Obviously characters, like post teleport Rudy or 3rd arc Subaru are a lot more palatable though
The flaw in this psychological analysis, is that the protagonist is just mirroring the values society has distilled in to him. To suggest he has a god complex for citing rules company otherwise is just ludicrous.
Like why would you believe absent any evidence this being is god? It could just as easily be the devil lying. You’re not seeing his true form in *any* scene.
