- "Let It Be" is a song by The Beatles, released in March 1970 as a single, and as the title track of their album Let It Be. Although credited to Lennon/McCartney it is generally accepted to be a Paul McCartney composition.
The single reached #1 in the U.S., Australia, Italy, Norway and Switzerland and #2 in the UK. It was the final single released by the Beatles while the band was still active. Both the Let It Be album and the single The Long and Winding Road were released after the band announced their break-up.
lyrics :
When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.
Let it be, let it be, .....
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be, .....
The crowd singing gives me goosebumps
A connection between man and city

omg, that is incredible. Anfield sings with Paul. He is the best of the best! Always been and will always be.
this is a very sad song, when Sir Paul was mourning for his late mom one night he heard his mom telling him "let it be" in his dream, he woke up the next morning and wrote this wonderful song.
REALLY!
Let it be is my favorite song.
That's a song of hope
He wasn't mourning her. It had been 10 years since her death. The beatles were all taking a lot of drugs at that time and dealing with their fame. They were messed up and Paul dreamt about her mother one night
you mean his mar right? mom lol
Ten years on (plus a couple of months), Sir Macca is still supporting his home town - from impromtu gigs in small pubs and clubs to an arena concert coming up in December. All the way along, he's funded an entire hospital wing in Linda's name and a school for performing arts. Whatever else may be said of him (and I'm generally favourable) he remembers his roots, and regularly pumps some of his (gargantuan, admittedly) wealth back into the city that nurtured him from child to megastar.
he has a very big heart. many english artists are like this, they mostly have no single star allures, not conceited and always friendly. i had the chance seeing visage in 2013 in München, germany: Steve Strange sit for over 3 hrs in the entrance area, answered hundreds of questions, had many smalltalks and told me he is really happy the people aprecciate new romantic art again, because he never had any intention doing anything else.
I'm 18 and have been listening to the Beatles since I can remember, but didn't really know or appreciate them until I was about 14. They're my most favorite and I hope their music plays on for ever because hands down, they are the greatest thing that's happened in music...EVER!
I was there what a great night 3 hours of pure Paul

AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the upload of a classic.
I've tried to do justice to another classic from the same album, GET BACK, with the posted music video, "40 years in 3 minutes" which condenses historical events and personal 8mm along with the Beatles' rooftop performance in a fast-moving montage. Enjoy.
Aside to sir Paul McCartney, I just salute to others on the stage , 2nd keyboardist, lead guitarist, bassist and a drummer !!!
To keep that song nicely too ...
Thanks that's song was so very nice too simple and simple but
High quality rock n roll
Wonderful Song!!! Praise God!!! 🌹

Epic Solo
You Never Walk Alone Paul, Go REDS !!!
Fuck the red shite. Paul is a blue
I'm 14 and i'm listening to this. :)
Paul is the biggest.
no matter his voice, for some reason this song lifts pauls voice up every time. on a bad night, his voice turns golden with this song. amazing
His voice was still good in this though, his voice got bad in 2014
@Aderin yeah even before 2014 he had some difficulties with his voice... Voice Now is really wrecked... when I originally posted that he was able to still pull his voice up from time to time I don't hear it as much anymore
@@nthdegree1269 being 80 now his voice definitely aged well because he can do the scream in helter skelter without difficulty or voice cracks but the problem is that his voice is too unsteady but he can still reach hig notes
@Aderin I also noticed Paul McCartney has a little bit difficulty talking his voice sounds strained or rough... yes he can scream quite well actually.. he also damaged his voice he used to smoke and then he would smoke weed for 30 years every single day..
i would sell my soul just to see the beatles in their prime (or any other time)
Even though Paul is a blue, nothing beats seeing him performing this song, in his home city with his fellow scousers singing along with him. It’s just doesn’t get any better .....
Parfait!!
how does this video not have more views
my favourite song ever, I first heard it on kiddie keyboard demo when I was 4 and have loved it ever since!!
I was at this gig, was a fantastic day/night, support act was the Kaiser cheifs and the Zutons, then my hero macca, what a day to remember...
So, did the audience spontaneously just start singing at the beginning with no prompting?
yes the audience was singing along to most of the songs ,, give peace a chance,, something etc..was amazing.
Por siempre The Beatles.
Impressionante a capacidade que um sujeito tem de encher um estádio.
Show do Paul McCartney! O que ele vai cantar?? Foda-se! É o Paul McCartney!!
Paul is old but he can still sing so let it be rip John Lennon and George Harrison
the REAL apostle PAUL... McCartney
Brian Ray is ****ing brilliant. The guitar solo in this version is my favorite in any Paul McCartney live performance of this song. It manages to be both electric and spiritual at the same time...
although I can't quite recognize if it's based on the album solo or the single solo. It sounds a bit different from both.
Actually, I just realized it's Rusty Anderson, not Brian Rey XD
Brilliant
Paul i met u in Brighton many years ago...in Tesco's super Market
Paul is bigger than life.
WoW He can still sing! Amazing, sounds like he is 30.
god love them
paul in liverpool. DREAM
He is 69 And he is singing at the same key as then!... Go Paul!
Paul is the new Mozart of this generation. Enough said.
Beautiful. I think Paul's voice these days suits this song, the vocal is more fragile than the original Beatles version and it makes the song's message feel all the more powerful
Sadly his voice detoriated much since those days. 10 years gone, can't blame him...
Hero !!!
Awwww....I wanted to hear George's original solo from the studio version.
let it be bro, let it be
No one:
George harrison: wtf did he do to my solo...
it will be beautiful that ringo star play the drums and like the vid ..... paul McCartney sing and play the piano :´)
like this
GREAT COMEBACK! XD
♥
I can see that Paul took his band members with him to the UK.
drummer rocks! :D
Top Performance, the last remaining epitomy that music was once good, amongst a few others like Jagger etc. It will be a bleak day wen Paul leaves us, touchwood he won't for a long time.
It's pretty hard to find such as a great composer as Paul McCartney in all the Rock's history! I'm sure that he influenced a lot of great artists and, nowadays, this new "artists" must apreciate what's good in music, they must study gods like Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson!
paul is paul!
when you understand the meaning of the song, its just very very sad
Paul roots for EVERTON
oh so john deserves lots of views on youtube? he deserves a lot more than that...
Jesus' favorite song!
This guy (along with his team mates) never smashed guitars, never jumped up and down during the shows, never wore fancy clothes on the stage (in general), he just wrote and went out and played some of the greatest songs of all time. Even is someone doesn't like his face, his way of life, his relationship with Yoko or whatever, noboydy can deny his genius and music skills. Nobody cannot deny respect to Paul McCartney.
Of course it is
@SyracuseLax09 That must have been amazing :)
