    Sveta is such a fine follower, and her tango is especially beautiful and dramatic. I also admire her muscle tone. She looks like she works very hard on her conditioning.

      Totally agree, Sveta is very good follower and quite fit.

    i WOULD LIKE to see your interpretation of Alex Moore's comments on the Hold and Frame of Man for the Ballroom Dancing Book

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  7 лет назад +1

      Bob, thanks for your question! I think principles of Tango Hold from Alex Moore book is still used today: Man's right arm is slightly more around Lady then in Foxtrot (and other swing dances). Man's left hand is slightly more towards him. Lady is slightly more on Man's right side then in other dances. Egils

    I have encountered issues trying to get into the Progressive Link from Back Check. Most of the time it feels as if there is too much weight placed at the back making it difficult to push forward into a link. Do you have any tips for doing it?

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks Magurosenbei for your question. I suggest that you step back in contra check on ball of right foot so that heel doesnt touch floor or touch it very lightly. This should help to control amount of weight you transfer. Hope it helps!

    resp. figure 4: seems to be a "Viennese Reverse" but not a "Basic Reverse" ?

    • @EgilsSmagris
      @EgilsSmagris  7 лет назад

      Hi Frida, thanks for mentioning that. Some figures have more than one name. Basic Reverse Turn is name according Technique Books (Gay Howard, ISTD book), although I have heard this figure is named also as "Viennese Cross" or "Viennese Reverse Turn". In my opinion all these names are correct as long as we recognize wich figure in ment. Hope it helps.

    Please, its whatever you want, but not tango. In Argentina it will be demand in a legal court for horrible, ja! Ja!. Sorry for my joke, but it is not real tango.
